Sung Yoon: Hey, do you have medicines? I have a headache.

Author: I believe this is not a hospital. And how come you're sick? You're a ghost.

Hyun Seo: You should see a doctor.

Author: A ghost doctor alright.

Sung Yoon: If you can't help, shut up and leave.

Author: Fine, Chapter 4 begins.

"Did he say that?" Tae Jin asked, still surprised.

"No"

What? If he didn't say it then........

"I think so. I believe he knows her but he doesn't want to say it"

Great!

Maybe Chae Joon didn't know his mother and if he did, why was he hiding it?

And why.....

"Why do you think so?"

"Well, he hasn't said it himself but I can tell. I found it a little weird"

What was weird?

"When we first checked out the place, he said it looked too old, it wasn't suitable for us. I wasn't happy when I heard it and I thought the place was fine. Also, it was close to your mom. I can go over without wasting any money or time"

"True"

"So,........ I head out first"

"I can imagine how upset you were"

"Tell me about it" Se Jong said and he smiled,

"I met your mother outside. We talked for a while.......and then Chae Joon showed up"

"Did my mom see him? Did they see each other"

"No, she was leaving when Chae Joon came around. You can say, he only saw her back profile"

That......

"But he didn't see her face. Maybe you're just overthinking"

"No, you do know you can identify someone you know when you see their back profile right?"

Right, Se Jong wasn't wrong.

But,.........

"Moreover, his eyes said he recognized her. He looked so surprised and....... relief"

Surprised and relief?

What was all that about? Tae Jin asked himself.

"So, the times you went to take care of my mom, Chae Joon didn't go with you?"

"Right, he always had something to do. You know, finding out about ghost world and other stuffs. He always sent me off and that day was the first time he saw your mom............. Well.........he didn't see her face"

"Yeah"

"I told him she's your mom and then......he agreed to take the house. Just like that"

"Well, you're right. Is a little weird. Maybe he..... really do know my mom"

And if Chae Joon did, why was he hiding it?

For what reason? Did he..... know him (Tae Jin) as well?

"Later, I found out he didn't want us to take the house because there was an evil ghost in it. It was hiding it its own world"

Uh? What was he (Tae Jin) hearing?

"Chae Joon got rid of it and then we moved in"

"Evil ghosts can create their own world?" Tae Jin asked. This topic was more important to him than anything else.

"Yes, if they're powerful enough. Come to think of it........you don't know much about evil ghosts right?"

"Yes"

Sigh, Se Jong sighed before saying, "There's a lot for you to learn"

"I think so too" Tae Jin said, afterwards, he lost himself in thought land.

Chae Joon knew his mother. If he did, how come he hasn't said a word?

And he asked himself the same question.

There was definitely something weird about this Chae Joon.

Looks like he was keeping a lot of secrets.

What were the secrets?

A YEAR LATER.

Shin Hye, Tae Jin, Se Jong and Hyun Seo are now in their senior year. Park Jay as well.

And they'll be graduating soon.

A lot has happened since that night. The night Hae Jin went missing (Chae Joon, Sung Yoon, Sung Hoon and Se Jong believe)

The night Hae Jin left (Tae Jin believe)

They renovate the house.

Old stuffs has been replaced by the new ones and new ones has been added as well.

They still painted the house like it was before because Tae Jin voted for it and since none of them had other thoughts, they agreed.

The house............. Hold on, I almost forgot.

They even have TV now and that's because Hyun Seo kept asking, demanding for it.

They got tired of hearing it and so, they grant his wish.

Lucky guy, he provided no money for it yet he got it.

And that's because one of his rich friends, Shin Hye, willingly provided it.

The house looked more inviting now.

It looked pleasant and neat. No vines on it, the compound looked neat.

They were happy to see this, however, Shin Hye still believe the house looked nice with the vines.

And she was disappointed when they got rid of them.

Now, they were in the living room.

Hyun Seo: That's all? 

Author: Yep. I'm eager to know more about Tae Jin and Hae Jin's story.

Hyun Seo: Don't ignore what we say. Remember, we think, say and you write.

Anyways, in the living room, which now looked lovely and........

Tae Jin: Continue.

*Sigh, anyways, in the living room, Tae Jin sat on the single couch, facing Se Jong and Chae Joon who sat on the double couch, Sung Yoon and her brother, Sung Hoon who sat on the triple couch.

(I believe we all know what I meant when I said, 'Triple Couch' right)

Hyun Seo: I don't.

The guy refused to stay away from Sung Yoon even for a second and that's why she came with him.

Hyun Seo: Don't ignore me!!

The first time......... just like today, Sung Hoon didn't want to stay back and so they came together.

The first time they came here together, Sung Yoon had to direct him.

Using a piece of paper and pen, she drew down the routes he had to take until they got here.

And I must say, her drawings shouldn't be presented for an award.

Sung Yoon: Excuse me?

Coming back,

Sung Hoon had a car, he bought it two years ago so it was pretty convenient coming here.

And they didn't have to use Sung Yoon's plan.

The plan, if they had used it, people would have freaked out and worry.

Well,.........some people would have been amazed.

Sung Yoon's plan was to tied a rope on her wrist and the other end on Sung Hoon's wrist.

And then lead him here, on foot.

But that plan never got used because Sung Hoon bought the car.

And you can imagine, what would have happened if they really used that plan.........., seeing a rope floating in air with the other end tied around someone's wrist.

That.......... would have went viral, for sure.

F******k, Ticktock, YouTube, I*******m....... would have cried out for freedom from this topic.

Anyways,.................

Sung Yoon..........she has been using her powers frequently. Ever since she met her brother again and she was now in fear.

The consequence one experience when they use more of your powers to touch, hold  'Physical stuffs' was still around and she was worried.

How much of her powers has been lost? What will happen to her now?

"Where are your friends? I see you and Se Jong. Where are Shin Hye and Hyun Seo?" Sung Hoon asked as he looked at Se Jong and Tae Jin.

He has already met them. They met a year ago when he came here together with Sung Yoon for the first time.

That was after the night Hae Jin went missing,............ the very next day, they came over.

Both Se Jong and Tae Jin introduced him to Shin Hye and Hyun Seo as a friend and they were in shock.

Sung Hoon believe they still don't believe that he was a friend of Tae Jin and Se Jong.

Must be his age, he believe.

What was his age? Sung Hoon was over 20 but doesn't want to tell the exact number of his age.

Author: Now am curious.

"I don't know" Tae Jin answered, looking unconcerned.

Smiling, Se Jong answered, "Shin Hye left early this morning and Hyun Seo left right before you came. I don't know where they went, they didn't tell us" 

Really? They didn't see him (Hyun Seo). Sung Hoon thought.

"I don't know either" Tae Jin said, "What do you know?" Chae Joon asked and Tae Jin looked at his direction, glaring at him.

Realizing a fight will break out any time soon, Se Jong took action, "So! Why are you here?" He asked.

"You still haven't found anything about him?" Sung Yoon asked worried about Hae Jin but it angered Tae Jin.

This topic again! They were still looking for him?

He still believe his hyung......

Tae Jin: He's not my hyung!

Hae Jin, he still believe Hae Jin left him and he was still angry about that.

It's been a year now, he still hasn't forgotten about what Hae Jin did.

He left him without a word.

"I'm really trying my best, but I haven't gotten any clue on his whereabouts" Chae Joon said, looking worried.

"Like I said, he left on his own. He's never coming back" Tae Jin said, acting like the jerk he has become.

"You! Why are you such a brat?! What's wrong with you? Did you get this jerk side from your dad?" Chae Joon said in anger.

"Don't you dare mention him! I'm not like him!" Tae Jin yelled angrily as he stood up, glaring at Chae Joon.

"Enough both of you! Stop fighting!" Se Jong yelled, annoyed.

This happens a lot.

For the past year, Chae Joon and Hae Jin fought a lot.

There wasn't a day that went by that they didn't glare at each other and exchange insults.

And every fight had to do with Hae Jin.

Tae Jin believe Hae Jin left on his own.

He believe he abandoned him.

But none of them believe that. They believe Hae Jin was missing, worst, he was kidnapped by an evil ghost.

They were worried about him and hope he hasn't gotten eaten yet.

*Sigh,.......it really hasn't been easy for the past year until now.

Ever since the night Hae Jin went missing, Tae Jin has been getting sick. Once every week, he suffered from fever and the fever would last for two days.

Longer was three days.

He was sick just yesterday but guess he's all better now.

He can even yell at Chae Joon and this said a lot.

*Sigh, they really have to find Hae Jin soon or Tae Jin will keep getting sick.

It's been so hard taking care of him.

Today he's alright and the next day, he's sick.

It was hard.

Se Jong was sure it had to do with his soul feeling sad or depressed because Hae Jin hasn't accepted them in both mind and heart.

He was sure Tae Jin was getting sick because he longer accepted him (Hae Jin) in both mind and in heart.

About Tae Jin's feelings for Hae Jin, he had no idea because the guy still refuse to talk about it.

"I still believe Hae Jin didn't leave on his own"   

Sung Yoon said, sounding sad.

While,........Sung Hoon could only see and hear what Se Jong and Tae Jin were saying.

He couldn't see Sung Yoon or Chae Joon but he knew they were talking about Hae Jin.

He hasn't met Hae Jin yet and was eager to meet him.

But then............ It still felt like he was left out of the conversation.

He..........was having second thoughts being here.

Maybe Sung Yoon was right, he should have stayed back!

Author: I think is too late now.

*Sigh, this was so depressing. Sung Hoon thought, sighing as he leaned into the couch.

"I agree with you but I still haven't found anything yet. I've been searching for him for so long" Chae Joon said, looking at Tae Jin who still stood, glaring at him.

"You three can do whatever you want. I'm leaving" Tae Jin said, and left the room.

"God, he's so stubborn" Chae Joon said.

"I agree" Sung Yoon stated.

"I'll go see him" Se Jong said and left, heading for the master bedroom, Tae Jin's room.

He knew, that's where he'll be.

"What now?" Sung Yoon asked, looking worried.

Sung Hoon........... poor guy didn't know what to do anymore!

The two humans he could see just left and he didn't even know if his sister went with them or not.

Gosh! Not having the ability to see ghosts sucks! And he felt it more right now.

"Hae Jin, where are you? I didn't even get to share the news about the woman" Sung Yoon said, dejected.

Hae Jin didn't know the woman has died. That she knew him and he was the reason why she used to visit him once every year.

He had no idea, that the woman really left that strawberry cake and drink for him.

He had no idea, the woman lasted visited him 13years ago but she didn't come to see him for some reason.

And a month later, she died.

Hae Jin didn't get to know the message she left for him, 'I'm sorry Hae Jin, please take care of yourself'

This was the message, she even mentioned his name.

Which means, the woman really did know him.

She even knew about her and that's why she sent Mr Kim to send her that message.

She still wondered why the woman didn't send the message to Hae Jin herself when she was already a ghost and can see and hear Hae Jin now.

*Sigh,.........if only Hae Jin was here, then he'll know that........the woman and this house....... might be related to him.

After thinking everything through, Sung Yoon got this information but she wasn't sure if she was right.

And.......... maybe asking about the house will do the magic.

But then..........was it a good idea? Hae Jin wasn't back yet.

"Have you found out anything about the woman?" Chae Joon asked, looking worried.

Sung Yoon told him all about the woman and Hae Jin's past episodes.

He has learnt a lot about Hae Jin and couldn't wait to meet him.

Hae Jin..........was............ And before Chae Joon could complete his thoughts, Sung Yoon spoke, gaining his attention.

"What about you? You didn't pay your brother a visit on his death anniversary"

Chae Joon told her all about his brother but didn't say anything about how he died or how he (Chae Joon) died.

She still didn't know much about Chae Joon. They've known each other for 14years or so and he still hasn't said a word about himself.

Well, he did tell her why he was stuck in this world after his death.

"Well,...........I didn't make it on his anniversary but I did..............  I visited him a week back, while I was searching for Hae Jin but I didn't stay for long because I was worried about Hae Jin"

Oh, that's good.

"I see........and......... don't you think is time you stop searching for your brother? He might have crossed over already"

"No, I don't believe that"

*Sigh,........ guess, Chae Joon was also stubborn like Tae Jin.

Wonder who's more stubborn. Chae Joon or Tae Jin?

*Sigh, she should just share what she know.

"Mr Kim told me if he finds anything about her, he'll let me know but he still haven't found anything about her. I wonder where she's hiding and why she's even hiding"

"She feels guilty"

"Guilty? Why?"

Hold on...........why was he talking like........

"Do you know her?"

"I believe that's the only reason why one wouldn't want to see someone they know, love and care about"

"I don't think that's the only reason"

"I'll go look for Hae Jin again. You should go home with your brother. He look bored" Chae Joon said and she looked at her brother.

Sure enough, he was.

*Sigh, this was why she told him to stay home.

"Can I get a sheet of paper and pen? I have to let him know we're leaving"

"Have you been using your powers frequently?" Chae Joon suddenly asked.

"Yes,...."

And she was worried about.......

"The consequences"

"Don't worry, there's no consequences"

"What?!" Sung Yoon exclaimed in shock.

"But you said a ghost can't use their powers frequently. They can't use their powers frequently to touch and hold physical stuffs. They can't use their powers to touch humans"

Chae Joon told her all this so what was he saying now?

Or.........was she wrong? Did Chae Joon really tell her all these?..........she.........she hasn't been feeling well.

"True, I did say all that but that's wrong info"

Oh, so, he really did tell her all these.

Hold on, what? Did he just say it was wrong information?

"Excuse me what?!" Sung Yoon asked, still surprised and confused.

"Ghosts can use their powers to touch humans but is not advisable. It can harm the human"

"So, there's no consequences?" She asked, more concern about this topic.

"There's no consequence when it comes to using your powers frequently on physical stuffs"

Huh? She thought there was consequences!

That's why she was worried!

But it turns out......... that's not so!!

Also.......she....... And before she could complete her thoughts, Chae Joon spoke, gaining her attention.

"They say when ghosts use their powers to touch humans, they lose half of their powers or all. But that's not so. A ghost purposely spread that lie just so ghosts won't attempt to do that because it can kill the human"

Huh? What?

"Kill?"

"Yes. Humans feel cold when they're touched by ghosts............"

Now, how should he explain this?

Okay........in a way that Sung Yoon will understand.

A kindergarten way.

Author: A what?!

"Where the human was touched, they feel cold there and when a ghost uses his powers to touch a human, the cold multiplies and that's because of the ghost's powers"

Confuse, she was confuse and Chae Joon noticed it too.

"Without the powers, is not that cold and the human feels cold exactly where they were touched. But with the powers, the human doesn't feel cold only where they were touched, the cold spread through out the body which can kill the human"

Chae Joon explained, seeing how confused Sung Yoon looked, he added,

"The cold kills the human"

"Hold on, are you saying........... ghosts can touch humans with or without their powers?"

Hold on....... thinking about it now,.......she also did the same!

If she remembered correctly,

She touched Tae Jin before (Without using her powers), when he came over on his '17th Birthday'.

And......she also touched her brother with her powers. The day she found out about her parents death,...........the next day,.......she hugged him.

She used her powers to hug him, thinking she'll only lose half or all of her powers. (That's if this was exactly what she thought and it really did happen)

But that wasn't so! Everything! Everything she knew was a lie!! 

She...........

"Yes, ghosts can touch humans with or without their powers but like I said before, it harm the human"

"There's consequence when you touch a human using your powers but is not about losing half or all your powers, is about losing the human you touched. It could be a love one or someone you hate. Then, I guess you'll feel nothing if the human you lost is someone you hate"

Then.......there was no reason to hide this from Hae Jin in the first place.

If she remembered correctly, she never told Hae Jin that ghosts can touch other humans using their powers because she believed using your powers to touch humans was dangerous, you could lose half or all your powers.

She also didn't tell him about it because she believed that was the only way for Hae Jin to find his true special one.

Touching a human without your powers meant that human was your special one.

But.......it turns out she was wrong.

A ghost can touch a human who's not their special one. Thought it wasn't advisable.

Guess, maybe she was right. Maybe she did the right thing not sharing this information with Hae Jin.

..................

Then.......what made a human your special one?

If they can see you? (The ghost)

But humans who are not special ones can also see ghosts.

Then.........if the human can touch you......yes.

This was it.

Humans who are not your special one cannot touch you but............ghosts can. Being your chosen ghost or not.

But then........she felt there was more about special ones that she didn't know.

She'll have to find out soon.

Also.......she believe she heard something about ghosts disappearing if they use too much of their powers.

She told Hae Jin this, right? Or........ maybe she didn't.

*Sigh, God! Turns out everything she knew and shared with Hae Jin was a big lie.

'I'm sorry Hae Jin' she said in mind, feeling exactly that.

"So yeah, there's no consequence when you use your powers to touch and hold physical materials. But if you touch a human using your powers, there's consequences...........but then......... I also believe touching a human without your powers have no consequence because, the human won't get that hurt unlike using your powers"

"But still, they get hurt. Whether you use your powers or not. They still feel that cold"

"Right"

God! She almost killed her brother! 

Sung Yoon thought as she looked at Sung Hoon who looked bored to death!

The guy had idea on what they were talking about.

"You can use your powers to touch physical stuffs but don't attempt to touch Sung Hoon, he might end up dead"

God........this......

"And what happens if I use more of my powers to touch stuffs? Won't I lose more of my powers?"

"You need to level up your energy to get more powers"

"How do I do that?"

"I don't know, the only thing I can think of is...........becoming a hunter of evil ghosts. Do you want to?"

A hunter of evil ghosts?

Did she want to?

"By the way Sung Yoon,........you look very pale" Chae Joon said, surprising Sung Yoon.

She did? Se Jong and Tae Jin didn't say anything.

Also........ there's something she hasn't shared yet.

"Chae Joon, I..........I think am losing my memories............ I've already lost some of my memories. Also,...........I don't remember much about the ghost world, about my days with Hae Jin and Tae Jin. And sometimes......... actually, everything you just told me, I feel like I know them already, or at least some of them......."

"Sung Yoon" Chae Joon called out her name, looking sad.

"So.........I don't remember some of the informations you told me that I shared with Hae Jin...................... I don't remember some of the informations you told me"

The ones she believed was true but it turns out it wasn't. Well,........some was her theory but she couldn't remember those that was her theory and the ones she was told.

Such informations, there was no way she could forget them even after 14years and that's because those info kept her alive as a ghost.

"Right now,........I doubt my memories. I feel like....... I'm getting memories I don't recall experiencing............I feel like.......... I'm forgetting my past life as well"

Oh, no, Chae Joon knew this! He was just about to ask her and she told him everything.

"Have you been experiencing headache lately?"

"Yes, but that can't be right! I'm a ghost" But it has been happening.

"Also, every time I experience headache, my memories mess up. And I forget some things. I get new memories I don't remember experiencing. I had a headache before I lost some of my memories and I couldn't remember some of my days with Hae Jin or what I told him. I couldn't remember some of the informations I know about the ghost world and it felt like.......I don't know at all because I have no memory of them"

Well,......... turns out everything she knew (About the ghost world) was a lie anyways.

"Just yesterday, it happened and for a moment, I didn't remember where I was. I didn't even remember my brother"

"And seconds later you did"

"Yes"

Looks like Chae Joon knew what she was going through.

What was it?

Author: You'll really sick?

Sung Yoon: If not why would I ask for medicines?

Author: I thought it was your lines, though I don't remember writing that for you.

Sung Yoon: Out of here. 

"Have you...... Have you experience fading?"

What? What was Chae Joon talking about? Why would she fade?

Why would she experience that?

"What's this all about Chae Joon?" Sung Yoon asked in all seriousness.

It can't be something bad was going to happen to her right?

"If you have,......it means...... you'll be......"
