“Amelia, come to my office.”
I blinked at the small intercom that sat on my desk and then slowly turned and looked at the frosted glass doors that led to his office.
CEO Marcus Blackwell, that’s what was etched into the glass. I had stared at that door more times than I could count in the past nine months that I had been working here, it was rare for Mr. Blackwell to call me into his office. Sure I was his secretary and doubled as his personal assistant most days, but his office was his space.
I let out a sigh as I pushed away from my desk and stood up, I smoothed my hair back away from my face. My heels clicked on the dark tiled floor, the sound louder than normal in the empty office. I brought my hand up and gently knocked on the door, why was I so nervous? Had I done something that had made him angry?
I’d heard rumors that Mr. Blackwell had quite the temper, but had yet to see anything of the such outside of the boardroom. In there, he looked fierce and other-worldly, a man ready to take on anything. I’d had more daydreams of him, using the same commanding voice he did in the boardroom on me.
He’d tell me in that voice, the one I liked to think of as his dominant voice, “I saw the way you were watching me.” His deep voice a low sexy rumble as his hands moved from my waist to swat my-
“Amelia, what are you just standing there for? Come in,” He said, his voice a loud growl through the door making me jump out of my daydream before it got good. That was probably for the best, it wouldn’t do to try and talk to him all hot and bothered.
I pushed the door open and walked into his office, Mr. Blackwell sat behind his large mahogany desk, his long fingers practically flying over the delicate-looking keyboard with ease. He glanced up at me, his dark eyes were unreadable as he watched me walk closer.
“You needed me Sir,” I asked as I stopped in front of his desk, I clasped my hands in front of me to keep from nervously fidgeting with my hair again.
“I do need you,” he said as he stood and slowly moved to stand in front of me. I looked up at him, I wasn’t short standing at 5 foot six inches without heels. With the three-inch heels, I had on he stood a good half a foot taller than me. I felt something clench low in the pit of my stomach, I wasn’t sure if it was anxiety or arousal at his words.
“Whatever you need Sir,” I said looking up at him, I instantly wanted to kick myself. Even to my own ears, I sounded breathless and needy. It had been too long since I had been intimate with anyone.
He must think I’m some kind of freak, there goes my job. I might as well take myself to HR right now, I looked away embarrassed as I felt my face heating up.
“I like to hear that,” Mr. Blackwell said in ‘the voice’ my head snapped up as my eyes widened. He held out a list to me, “I need you to go pick up these items, I have some important guests coming this evening. You’ll find the items in the basement.”
“Yes, S, s, Sir.” I stuttered out, still on edge from his earlier tone of voice with me.
“Thank you, Amelia.” He said with the same tone as before, and I felt my heart flutter in my chest. Oh no, this wasn’t good. I couldn’t be feeling this way for my boss, sure a daydream here or there was fine. This fluttering though was not.
I took the paper from his hand and his fingers brushed against mine.
Oh no, I looked up locking eyes with him, he was smirking. Well crap, that fluttering started to get worse as I pulled my hand back grasping the list.
“I’ll get right on this Mr. Blackwell, Sir,” I said turning around and all but running from the room, I looked back as I closed the door Mr. Blackwell was leaning against his desk a small smile on his lips, his arms crossed over his muscular chest that even his well-tailored suit couldn’t hide..
What could that mean?
Chapter Fifty-OneLouis nipped and kissed at my neck and I felt him pull his fingers away from my clit. I wanted to grab his fingers. To put them back where I needed him to keep touching me. It felt so good and I knew that if he had kept it up, I would have come apart for them so quickly. Too quickly, but we had time. Well, at least another forty-five minutes or so. Which was more than enough time if we were quick. “Fuck her with your fingers. I want to watch you touch our mate more.” Marcus growled and I looked down into his glowing black eyes. My breath caught in my throat. How could he make me so turned on just by ordering our mate to fuck me with his fingers for his pleasure and mine? Louis moved two fingers against my opening and I whimpered as he slid them inside of me. His thumb moved to work my clitoris as he worked his fingers in and out of my body. His lips moved against the sweet spot beneath my ear where I bore his mark. The spot where he had sank his teeth into me so
Chapter Fifty“Marcus.”“Amelia, you are mine. Maybe one day they will get to meet me as your mate. But if they don’t, that’s okay too. It’s enough for me that you are mine, that you are ours.” His words were soft, but I could feel through the bond that we shared how much he meant it. Marcus stroked his hands up the back of my legs, dragging his palms up my skirt so that they were flat against the outside of my thighs. Goosebumps prickled at my skin and I felt my nipples tighten into hard peaks. Being so close to him and Louis did things to my libido. This was where everything had all started with them. When the council had shown up here and Marcus and Louis had told me the truth about what they were. It had led me on the path to finding out about my true self and falling in love with them. I brought my hand up, caressing the side of Marcus’ face. His face was still all those hard lines, but I knew how they felt. How every part of his body felt, how it moved when he was inside of m
Chapter Forty-NineAmelia didn’t say anything, but her stomach rumbled loudly. Her cheeks flushed and she stood up, picking up her tea. Pushing the chair under her desk, she walked around until she was beside me. “I could eat.”I held my hand out to her and she took it, her fingers gelding along my palm. Threading our fingers together, I pulled her towards Marcus’ office. The door was partially open and I knew that Marcus was waiting for us. My heart beat faster as I pushed the door open, letting Amelia step inside in front of me. Marcus was sitting at his desk, waiting for the two of us. He looked just as good as he had this morning before we had left for the office. Not a single dark hair was out of place, he had shed his jacket sometime during the morning. His sleeves were rolled up and my breath caught as I took in the runes that marred his forearms. There was something so sexy about him when he was like this. His dark eyes met mine and he nodded his head towards the coffee tabl
Chapter Forty-EightMarcus: She seems okay. Don’t worry so much, I can feel it when you do. I was just checking if you knew what was up with her. Louis: I’m trying but it’s hard. I haven’t talked to her since she texted us good morning.Marcus: I know my love. Take a deep breath. We’ll be together soon. If you would like to run an errand for me, I’m ordering lunch from the deli for us.Louis: I could do with some fresh air. Marcus: Good, after you get lunch, come up to my office. I’ve got a surprise for you. I smirked to myself. Marcus thought he was being sneaky and distracting me with surprises. But I knew what he was doing. I moved my fingers over the screen, pecking out a response. The phone dinged before I could set it down.Marcus: You know me so well. My smile deepened and I felt some of my worry melt at the order to come to his office. Standing up, I tucked my phone into my jacket pocket before walking around my desk. I made my way down the short hallway, stopping in front
Chapter Forty-SevenSo much had changed since then. Yet, so much had stayed the same. I still wanted him just as much as I had on that first day when he had called me into his office. Only now I was his. I finished making his drink, placing it onto the silver tray before taking it into his office and sitting it on his desk. Rushing back to my desk, I picked up the notepad before bringing it into the office and sitting it beside his drink. Pulling out a pen, I jotted a note down at the bottom. Turning away, I made my way back to my desk to look over his schedule and make sure there was nothing that I needed to change. The door to the elevator chimed and I looked up. Watching my mate come into view, my breath caught in my throat. All thoughts of anxiety and morning sickness faded away as I took in how he was dressed. He was wearing a slate gray suit that seemed to hug his body in all the right places. His black leather shoes had been polished and everything about him screamed sexines
Chapter Forty-Six“Sin, I like working. Your shop is yours. You don’t need my help.” “Can’t blame me for wanting to spend more time with you.” Sin said, letting me step away from him. “I love you too. Try to stay out of trouble today. I’ve got to get to work.” I said, turning towards the entrance of the alleyway. “Spoiling all my fun today.” Sin said, walking with me. “Be good for me, yeah.”“Sin.” I growled, looking over at him as we made our way onto the sidewalk. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll see you tonight.” He said, shooting me a wink before walking off in the opposite direction of the entrance of the office building. I shook my head, making my way towards the gleaming doors of the office building. I stepped inside, smoothing my hand down over my black slacks. My kitten heels clicked on the marble tiles as I made my way to the front desk. Charlotte had taken Boston’s place. Her black hair was twisted back away from her face and she looked striking with her dark cat like eyes. Her bla
