Chapter Sixteen

Thane made sure Kory left the scenery with Hudson before marching over to the maid quarters where Kory had encountered bullying from his maids.

He got there, the faces of those who spoke ill to his mate still imprinted in his mind, he knocked upon his arrival.

The door opened, and the face of the girl who started the conversation popped out.

“Alpha-“ her words got stuck when Thane circled a palm around her neck, strangling her as he tossed her out of the room. Not minding where she’d landed.

She landed far from him, thudding into the wall before falling unconscious on the ground.

Thane stepped into the room, his cold eyes scrutinizing everyone as they all bent their faces, trembling at his sight.

“You, you, you, you, and you. Step out.” He pointed at particular individuals, calling them out with him as he also stepped outside.

Those filtered out moved with shaky legs and edgy stance, coming outside where Thane requested their presence. All still wondering why he
