C1: SNEAKY PRINCESS
WRITER'S POV CLEARSTONE ROYAL PALACE “My princess, my princess quickly wear this while I discard the clothes” a girl said hurriedly as she presented a blue royal dress to a girl who seemed to be of her age as she got rid of the male clothing she wore. After successfully wearing the blue dress she smiled in satisfaction just then she heard a knock on her door. she composed herself as she pinned her chocolate brown hair behind, while the other girl went to open the door. “Greetings to you My queen” she bowed. The woman who stood poised glared around the room before resting her eyes on her daughter who stood up immediately placing the teacup she was holding on the table. “greetings to you mother” she said and the woman sighed, “Lucy dear I came to your room earlier but couldn't find you where have you been without Helene?” the woman asked softly. but Lucy knew her mother was a bit annoyed about her disappearance. “mother I wanted to stroll alone without her, I apologize for making you worried” she said and her mother hissed. “Say that to your father, If I hadn't covered for you, Helene would have been punished, since as your personal maid yet she doesn't know where you are” she said and Helene flinched. They all knew that the king was strict and he doesn't play with his daughter. “Thank you mother for helping, I made a new type of tea here” she said gratefully as she grabbed her mother and sat her down on a stool and poured her tea from the teapot. A while later the queen stood up, she was done with her tea. “Lucy you have to stop walking around alone even though it's within this palace no place is safe. Also your father has found a suitable match for you he will arrive tomorrow evening you should be present so as not to taint the Donovan's royal image” she said calmly and the princess nodded . “I will do my best, mother” she said even though she knew she had other plans but of course she won't ruin their family's image. The woman took regal strides out of the room swaying her green dress as she left the room. Helene shut the door heaving a huge sigh as she placed her hand on her chest. if the queen had found out that her daughter left the palace too in a male dress mixing with commoners she would be punished severely and the princess grounded. “My princess, thank goodness you came back early,” she said, rushing to her side. “I'm sorry that you could have been punished because of me” Lucy said as she stared at the floor, one thing she always did when she felt guilty but her maid cheered her up. “ My princess, do you think your suitor would be handsome, one that you would like?” Helene asked and Lucy shrugged. “I wouldn't know but I don't wish to get married yet I want to be free, and go wherever I want to” she said as she stared in a daze certainly imagining how it would be but Helene woke her up from her dreams. “my princess you are twenty now and you should get married the king had allowed you to reject suitors for two years now I don't think he would do so anymore” she said and Lucy's face dropped. “Let's not talk about this now, I saw a beautiful lake today but I received the letter you wrote so I came back, I would have to go there tomorrow ok” she said and Helene gasped. “My princess , you sure want to kill me, you have to meet your suitor tomorrow and you are planning to sneak out again. The king and queen won't permit that," she said, holding her chest. “I don't wish to lose my head” she added and Lucy pouted. “Helene I won't wish you death please I might actually get married what if he won't let me leave. this is the last chance I have” she said pleadingly and Helene sighed. “my princess please return early unless you wish to see my corpse” she said and Lucy smiled. “I will return early” she promised. taking her night bathe she slipped into her nightwear and layed on her bed thinking of tomorrow. THE NEXT DAY. Lucy woke up early, took her bath and wore a blue dress with golden patterns. She wore a light white veil covering the lower part of her face, she was used to it as mother had strictly warned her not to walk around the palace bare face. She headed for breakfast and after that she took a walk with her father king Edward, his brown hair combed neatly behind his back, his crown resting upon it. He seemed to be in his fifties. “Lucy you aren't getting any younger I would want you to consider the son of King Alfred, he would make a good husband and a capable king to rule Clearstone kingdom” He said his gaze was fixed on his daughter who was a striking resemblance of her father. Lucy nodded obediently; she couldn't afford to oppose him so that she could sneak out successfully. “I will father and I know you have eyes for good things. Oh father I have to complete my embroidery now” she replied and added as she faked a gasp. The King laughed heartily. “exactly my beautiful princess, you can go my dear” he said and she walked away feeling happy. Her father grinned slowly as he watched Lucy's retreating figure. On reaching her room she discarded her dress and wore a light brown trouser and a black shirt packing her hair. She folded it into a bun and wore her artificial mustache. She sneaked out of the palace through the backside, she had created a door on the brick wall no one knew of it even Helene because she had never shown it to her. Feeling the cold breeze as she stepped into the bustling area she smiled and started walking around greeting the villagers she knew and bought a few things from them. She smiled as she reached the path to the lake, she smiled happily and forged ahead. She heard a rustling near the bush at the roadside and bent to see what it was. her attention was drawn back to the road as she heard the sounds of hooves. Lucy gasped as she saw a Raven black horse running towards her, she fell into the bush, holding her hammering chest. The horse had nearly hit her as the rider rode in full speed that she couldn't get to see it's face, She saw more men riding past her. She stood and continued her journey even though she wasn't having a good feeling as she felt goosebumps on her skin, she still went to the lake.C22: KNOWN CONFESSION Lucy hummed softly as she prepared the king's tea, this time around it was ginger tea. Pouring the hot content from the tea pot to the cup, the aroma spread once more. She inhaled it and nodded in satisfaction with her eyes closed. She closed the teacup and lifted the tray heading out of the kitchen. Lucy walked into the hallway and saw Catherine who was speaking with the other maids. Catherine turned and smiled as her blue eyes caught Lucy's figure. “Lily!, I was looking for you” she said as she called out, She walked towards Lucy. “Aren't these heavy for you” she asked and Lucy lifted a brow before laughing. “I'm almost healed and besides this just a cup of tea” Lucy replied and Catherine grinned. “It's good to know that, you have to go now before the tea gets cold” she said pointing at the tea and Lucy nodded. Lucy rolled her eyes when she remembered what Kael had said. On reaching the study room, she knocked slightly and heard a soft ‘come in’.
C21: WARMED HEART Catherine, who was called by the head maid, was now returning from the second palace. She sighed, the head maid had asked her to wash an entire room, not because it was necessary. ‘Maybe she wanted to punish me for informing the King about the incident’ she thought. She was really tired, having done her chores and instantly called for another. It was hectic. As she walked in the vast space, she saw a young man who was staggering looking lost. She blinked her eyes, it was the man who had wasted her time. She frowned a bit. ‘Why is he looking like this, did someone roast him like he does to others’ she thought. Sighing she wanted to mind her business, but her heart said otherwise. Before she could realize it her feet had taken her to him. He stared at her his green eyes dull, he had always been the kind to make sarcastic remarks but he stayed mute. “Are you alright?” she asked, her blue eyes staring into his green eyes, she had forgotten the formalities, her
C20: SEVERED BOND Iris grinned as she whistled. It was time to weave her plan. She stood up opening her left fist and glared at the handkerchief which was stained with her blood. “Luckily I wore a dark dress, else that stupid human would ask questions” she muttered. “What human Ris?” Viktor asked as he stood before the door, his green eyes roaming around the room before settling on her. He was looking for Kael, the maids had said that he was seen here, yet there was no sign of him, instead it was Iris. Iris felt her wolf stir. “And how is that your business, it is none of your concern” she growled and Viktor nodded. “You know very well that Kael doesn't like people coming to this room, yet you still came here what do you stand to gain” “Can you stop tailing me Viktor, I don't wish to see your face, is it so difficult for you to understand?,” she asked, folding her hands under her chest. “Iris don't you feel anything for me, our bond don't you feel it?,” he asked as he walked
C19: IRIS' PLAN Kael sat on his throne, his long black hair flowing freely covering the straps of his silver mask. The Ministers sat at the long table as they discussed the kingdom. Alex, who was part of the meeting, occasionally stared at the king. He has his doubts about the king, It was confusing how the Ministers had accepted him so easily. After the meeting Alex stopped his father outside the palace gate, Because he intended to look for the maid he had seen the other day. “Father, why are the Ministers including you, so comfortable with the king” He asked, his brows furrowed. His father sighed. “Alex, we all know what type of king we once had, but trust me when I say that this seated king is not bad” his father said and Alex scoffed. “You heard his announcement, he isn't human for goodness sake, what if he starts to harm the villagers” Alex asked. His father sighed “I know you still care about the princess but you're no longer in the position to step in, she reject
C18: BURNING MARK Once Catherine was done she sat up “Ok, here it's all done, you can move around but don't stress yourself so that the wound won't tear up again” She explained and Lucy nodded obediently. “I won't, you didn't tell me you knew how to treat people” Lucy asked as she placed her hand on her cheek raising her upper body. “Oh that, I learnt a little when I was young, at least I can help when necessary” She replied, packing her bag. “Cathy, I heard the king made an announcement two days ago, what was it about?” Lucy asked as she raised her upper body with the help of her hand. “Oh that, finally you won't hush me when I try to tell you about it. The king declared a new rule, according to him, we are to coexist with werewolves as he called themselves, we were all shocked though except some ministers” Catherine explained as she paced around the room imitating the people's reactions. “I see, so we will be living wild beasts?” Lucy asked or more like stated. “
C17: WARY LUCY/LILY Lucy stared at the ceiling in a daze, she wondered what other secrets the King and his people had, The name Kael resonated in her ears. He is Kael, it has always been him all this time. The King is Kael and her worst enemy but yet the only one who could make her heart race, she smiled bitterly. She overheard their conversation earlier. Curling up on the bed she cried, it wasn't what she planned. She didn't plan to be torn like this. Kael, who had stepped out earlier after the conversation with Lucas, walked in, his long black hair disheveled. He sat down on the black couch rubbing his forehead. *You should find a solution to this, we are attracted to her but then we don't feel the mate bond and the princess is elsewhere, all we have to do is to find the princess first* his wolf said to him and he shook his head *Rage what about her, j don't think I can stay without her* Kael replied, his eyes glowing as he conversed with his wolf. *Are you being
