Chapter -3( Reject you as my mate)

CHAPTER 3

“Kilan, hurry up, what's taking so long? We don't want to be late for the exchange, you know,” A guy leaning against the car yelled, staring at an open door to a huge mansion.

“Keep it down bro, I'm on my way,” another voice called and after a while, Kilan, the exact replica of the man leaning against the car, rushed out.

“What took you so long?” the man asked.

“Loosen up a bit Milan. We're not going to war. We're just going to get the Wolfsbane from the Moon shadow pack,” Kilan pointed out.

Milan rolled his eyes, “Oh, wow! I really didn't realize that. Come on let's go,” They were about getting in the back seat when a voice boomed.

“Sons, wait,” The voice of their father boomed and a man with slightly similar features to theirs walked towards them.

“Alpha,” The twins bowed respectfully, making their father howl in laughter.

“I already told you not to call me that. I'm your father not your Alpha,” He told them.

Milan glanced at his watch, “At this rate, we're going to be late. We need to get going,” he said.

Kilan rolled his eyes, “He’s been so uptight since yesterday,” he turned to his brother, “Chill out bro. It's the Wolfsbane we're going to get and nothing will go wrong, okay?”

Milan ignored his twin brother's word of encouragement and turned to his father, “Let it out father.”

His father smiled, “I quite agree with Kilan, Milan. You need to calm down, okay. Anyways, I just came to see you guys before you leave and wish you luck. Come back safe, okay?” He turned to them.

Milan shrugged, “Whatever. See you pops,” he said and got into the car.

Kilan shook his head, “Really, my brother is one stiff nigga. Always so serious,” he turned to his father, “We’ll be back soon father. Be safe,” he got into the car and the driver drove them out of the house and into the streets of their pack. Two cars with guards inside followed closely behind their car.

Kilan and Milan are twins. They're both candidates for the position of Alpha in the Devil shadow pack. They were both amazing in everything they did and the rumors were that the both of them would rule side by side, although the twins themselves found that very ridiculous, but then their father could be eccentric in his actions.

They were on their way to the bar to get the Wolfsbane from the Moon shadow pack. They thought it was better if the Devil Shadow pack kept it, hence the exchange.

“Must you read all the time?” Kilan asked Milan who had his nose buried in a book. Milan ignored him, making him roll his eyes. He had expected that from his brother. Since his brother clearly wasn't in the mood for discussions, he put his headphones on and began nodding his head violently to the song that was playing.

Rizine nervously climbed up the stage, beads of sweat gathered around her head. She was in a short, body hug gown that stopped a very small distance away from her butt. She knew if she dared bend down, her butt would be out for all to see.

The gown was a sleeveless gown, and had a v-neck shape that ran down to her stomach. It barely concealed her breast but her nipples were covered although she wasn't wearing a bra, on the orders of Asper, and so everyone could see how pointed her nipples were through the clothes.

The cloth had a design as her waist that exposed the skin at the sides of her waist. The crowd went silent as she took up the stage and music began playing.

I can't do this. I really can't.

She was debating on whether she should dance or not when she saw a rogue staring at her, as if daring her to betray their pack. She felt anger rise within her because of the smug look on his face. It was almost like he wanted her to not go ahead with the plan so she would become their home.

With that anger, she began dancing. Although she felt so disgusted, she kept on dancing, plastering fake smiles on her face and winking whenever it was necessary. She hated the attention she was getting and most of all, she hated what she was doing to get that attention.

The bar soon turned into a madhouse, with the men cheering for her, leering at her and clapping. She wanted to puke when she saw some in a corner with their hands in their pants.

She kept on dancing and had successfully captured everyone's attention, including the attention of the three men seated at the VIP table. The impending Alpha's of both the Moon shadow pack and Devil shadow pack.

Asper had shown her their pictures earlier and so she knew. There was a look in the eyes of the twins that she couldn't quite decipher but she kept on dancing.

Asper finally burst into the bar with some rogues and the bar became a war zone immediately. The music stopped and Rizine began to get down from the stage so she could run, but at the bottom of the stairs was Asper waiting for her, a sword pointed in her direction.

“Asper…” she trailed off in disbelief.

“I reject you as my mate, Rizine,” he said and staggered backwards, obviously in pain. Rizine fell to the ground, gasping for air as she felt pain course through her body. She turned to him in tears as he got closer to her. Her eyes began fluttering close but when Asper was about to bring the sword down on her, the twins showed up.

Rizine saw one of the twins engage Asper in a fight, while the other ran towards her, “Are you okay?” His voice sounded slurred to her.

“I…” Her eyes closed and she drifted into the darkness.
