"Pick up."

Leah said, her hands shaking as she called her mother but she wasn't picking up. She called her father and he wasn't picking up either. "Please...no." She cried out, tears falling down her eyes, shuffling with raindrops.

"Oh...my Mateo." She said and quickly stood up on her wobbly legs. She tried to stop a cab but none of them have the route to her area because it was raining heavily, especially in the area where her house was located.

"Oh, God."

Her mind went blank and she couldn't think of anything other than running to her house.

Running in the rain as fast as she can to reach her house. Her lips trembled as his threatening words rang in her mind. The water splashed up as she ran through the puddle of water caused by rain. Her breath was heavy and her heartbeat was ringing in her ears like an alarm.
