Chapter Thirty Eight

" Ah~" I sighed as my bum touched the hard, yet comfortable seat. I'd been dancing for a while so my feet hurt, I needed a break. I looked at the sea of dancing bodies, sipping my drink and chuckled when I spotted Amaya as she was trying to escape from Jason. Young love, so innocent.
Suddenly, the chair beside me was pulled back and Reece sat down on it. He smiled a little, " Hey..." He mouthed over the loud music. I smiled back and looked at his fireman costume, " Nice costume" I leaned over and said " Thanks, you too. You look hot" he replied with a wink. I rolled my eyes and sipped from my drink.
Reece grabbed my hand gently, " Can we go outside...please?" He asked, wearing a serious look. I nodded after a little hesitation and followed him out of the hall into the now bright hallway.
The music faded as we went farther away from the gym. Honestly, I felt so scared as I followed him.

That same evening...JenniferAfter hours of unnecessary shopping, I was finally back in my warm cozy space. A sigh of content escaped my lips as I was finally able to get all my homework done. Eight years later... Amaya's eyes followed me back and forth as I paced around my office nervously, " Your pacing is starting to get on my nerves" she said and crossed her legs on top of my desk.
