" Is it just me or has Reece been on the low recently?" My ears perked up at the mention of his name. I know eavesdropping is bad, but they're talking about Reece. I pretended to write while I listened to the girls behind me.
The other hummed, " Yeah...I've noticed it too...the school's been quiet...it's like he doesn't even exist anymore. Super weird" she said. I frowned in thought, ' that's true. He really has been off the radar and I hardly see him around school'.
Just then, he walked into the class nodding at whatever Severn was telling him. As he walked closer, the girls behind me stopped talking. He looked at me and smiled a little then went to seat at the back. " OMG...did you see that? He smiled at me!" One of the girls silently squealed and the other joined her.
