Madrid, Spain.

The sky was black tranquility. The starry night sky was glimmering, darkened and in some places flickered with almost indescribable cosmic beauty. There was a certain softness in that night, it was the softness that called body and brain to rest and let the heart go to its steady rhythm. Everyone was returning back to their homes, their safe places.

In that city there was a huge mansion of the infamous Fernandez brothers. The mansion was illuminated by many beautiful lightenings and it looked like a real palace in the darkness of the night and didn't lack in showing its royalty as well as the darkness. The aura alone of the mansion was screaming the darkness captured in Fernandez brothers' hearts for the outer world.

The Fernandez brothers, their name was enough to make anyone shiver out of fear because for the outer world they were still the same merciless bastards but for the family they were the best men anyone could ever ask for. They were the best, be it husbands, fathers, son-in-laws, brother-in-laws and brothers but still there was something which left a void in their hearts.

Their mansion was enough alone to tell what Fernandez brothers held against the country: power and authority. They were still the same Fernandez brothers who were selfish, cruel, ruthless and what not but when it comes to their little wife they become little puppies with their invisible wagging tails.

The mafia bosses of the country loves their little wife a lot, more than the world, more than their own lives. When she blessed them with their baby, they were more than satisfied and couldn't ask her anything more than that. The trio were laying with their heads on her lap and she was threading her fingers in their hair.

Whenever they returns back from the office, they tell her everything happened with them throughout the days and it was their routine and Vanessa was more than happy to hear them out till eternity. She was smiling amusingly when Alejandro was telling her, how Emiliano threw his umpteenth phone out of the glass window of their office in anger and damaged the glass too.

It never left Vanessa less amused that how can he throw all of his brand new phones out of the window just like that. She shook her head and rubbed Emiliano's scalp but suddenly her sea blue eyes narrowed at her fingers which were threaded in his hair.

"Emi?" she called him out with her concentration on his hair.

"Hmm?" he hummed feeling content because of her fingers moving at his scalp.

"You are getting old now. See your grey hair!" Vanessa exclaimed tugging at his hair a little which made him smile at her words.

"We are married for almost thirty two years now, mi charlatán. Do you think I will always stay young?" Emiliano asked her with a little smile at his face suddenly discovering on his own that he has completed thirty two years of marriage with his wife and still he felt it was a short amount of time only. He can spend his whole life with her without any second thoughts.

"That's a problem now because I think I can't be with old men anymore. I want a handsome hunk for myself, I'm still so younger than you." Vanessa commented pouting, trying to tease the brothers.

The three of their eyes darkened at her words and before she could even register she was pulled down flat at her back and Joaquin was hovering above her with his dark and cold eyes peering at her. She gulped seeing the cold look in his eyes and knew the other two had the same look as his. She mentally cursed herself for trying to tease them.

The brothers also knew she was trying to tease her because it's been thirty two years to their marriage and she hasn't left any single chance to assure them that they means the world to her and they are her kings but still the mansion of any other man makes them jealous and leave a bitter feeling in their hearts.

"What were you saying, mi pequeña bebé? You want a handsome hunk for yourself?" Joaquin asked her and arched his brow at her questionably. She shook her head at him and opened her mouth to apologize to them.

"N-No I didn't---" before she could even complete her sentence the brothers looked at each other and had a silent conversation through their eyes and then they nodded at each other turning their faces to her.

The words completely stuck in her throat when their fingers started tickling her everywhere and earned a loud shriek from her before she fell into fits of laughter. She clutched her stomach and tried to dodge them but the three of them tickled and tickled.

"N-No aaa---ahhhhaaaaa-hhhhaaa---- I'm sorry p-lease let me g-gooo. If you w-will continue I will d-die out of laughing!!" Vanessa said and tried to slip away from their holds but it seemed impossible to her and all she could do was laugh out of tickling and helplessness.

"I'm s-sorryyy-----" she whined loudly because her stomach started hurting due to laughing so much and she couldn't handle any more.

Tears gathered at the corner of her eyes and then the brothers understood that it was their queue to leave her and they left her immediately. She rolled at the bed trying to catch up with her breath and her face was completely red. The three of her devils husbands gazed at her amusingly.

"Don't mess with your husband ever, mi amor or it can lead you to some serious punishments as you know how much stamina we still have even after having grey hair." Ace smirked and said squeezing one of her bosoms roughly silently warning her but a sweet smile at his face.

"Owieee! It hurts!!" Vanessa shyly exclaimed and slapped his hand away harshly resulting the brothers to chuckle at her. It's been years and she was still shy of them which never leave any chance to amuse them.

"You have also gotten a little chubby but did we ever comment on that?" Emiliano asked trying to tease her back but instead of taking it in an entertaining way Vanessa got offended and a blank look etched upon her face.

Since she has given birth she had gotten a slight chubby, not much but Emiliano never leaves any chance to tease her which somehow makes her mad. When she didn't give him any snarky reply back he gulped knowing he made her mad while Joaquin and Alejandro shook their heads because they know now matter how many times they tell Emiliano to not to make their little wife mad, he never understands.

"I'm sorry---" Emiliano scratched the back of his head and was about to apologize she showed her palm to him and pin drop silence fell in the room.

The next moment, Emiliano was standing out with a pillow in his arm and a blanket in his another arm. The door of the room got shut right at his face which made him to scrunch his nose and eyes closed in regret.

"Now you will sleep out of this room!!" Vanessa's voice came from inside of the room and he could see the wide grins on his brothers' faces which made his face fell. He banged at the door of their room.

"I'm sorry, mi charlatán. I was not trying to fat shame you it's just--- ugh never mind. Please open the door baby, I love you so much." he said banging his fist at the door loudly and he heard the shuffling of the door knob. He stilled and took a step back happily thinking she forgave him and will open the door for him.

The door opened and it made a wide smile to etch upon Emiliano's face but as soon as it appeared it fell too when he saw a shirt in her hand and she threw it right at his face, he immediately caught it.

"Don't catch cold!!" she said with a stoic face and strict manner. Then she closed the door right at his face again.

He smiled knowing how much she cares for them no matter what. They had habit of sleeping bare chest and it usually seems fine to them inside the room but in night the temperature of outside of the room turns chilly and she didn't want him to get sick. He knew she was just showing him her fake anger and in that she still didn't hide her care for him. He wore the shirt and stood in front of the door again.

"I'll die right outside of this room. Bye mi charlatán!!" he exclaimed loudly and playfulness in his voice.

"Then die!! I will slap your soul and bring it back to your body!!" Vanessa's humorless reply came and it was enough for Emiliano to know that he should leave from there. He sighed knowing where he should stay in this chilly midnight.

"No, I don't. Even my mama tried to set me up on many dates as my match maker but none of them worked out." He said casually shrugging his shoulders but Innara didn't stop there. She voiced out the words in her mind loud and clear. "You don't seem like that." She said lowly again taking a sip of her drink and suddenly he was curious to know what she thinks about him. "Like what?" He asked her with mischief dancing in his eyes. "That you don't have a girlfriend. It seems like you have so many girlfriends." She said earning a loud chuckle from Agustín. He found her so adorable that he couldn't help himself from chuckling. "And why do you think like that, Señorita?" He asked her in his soft calming voice which comforted her and she decided to voice out her thoughts. "You look so good as if you are some model or came out of a magazine." She said making him amused for a while. A faint laugh escaped her lips—unfamiliar, small, but real. Agustín stilled for a moment and he felt l

  • Her obsessed beast    Chapter 17

The first rays of sunlight filtered through the gauzy curtains, casting golden stripes across the marble floor. A soft breeze drifted in from the half-open balcony door, carrying the distant scent of fresh bread and coffee from a café down the street. The atmosphere was so silent, but not like the one she used to love in. This silence was calming, peaceful and relaxing. Everything felt soothing as well as comfortable. Innara stirred gently. For the first time in what felt like forever, she hadn’t woken in a panic. No cold sweat. No pounding heart. Just quiet. Stillness. She turned on the other side trying to block away the golden light coming on her face, her face scrunched up slightly not used to waking up in such light but darkness. Suddenly realisation started to dawn upon her that she wasn't in that hell hole anymore. She blinked against the morning light, momentarily confused by the soft sheets, the warm duvet. Her hand instinctively moved to her belly—her little one was ca

Finally in the evening Agustín bid goodbye to his parents as it was getting late and it was getting dinner time also. As there wasn't any maid or helper in his apartment so he has to cook for Innara and himself. Even though Vanessa asked him to eat atleast something but he politely denied not wanting to eat when Innara must be waiting for him to return back. She must be hungry too.The evening air was cool and crisp when Agustín stepped out of his sleek black car, the lights of Madrid glowing softly behind him. The city buzzed faintly in the distance, but here, in the quieter corner of his luxury apartment complex, silence wrapped the air like a comforting shawl. He cautiously looked around for some danger even if his men were on duty in alarm. He entered the building with a swipe of his key card, shoulders relaxed but eyes alert—he had been gone only a few hours, but something tugged at his chest like gravity, pulling him home faster than he’d expected. It was something unknown becau

Finally Agustín reached the mansion and stopped the car right in front of the entrance. He stepped out, dressed sharply in dark slacks and a linen shirt, his injured shoulder now barely noticeable under the ease with which he moved. But his eyes were alert, always scanning — a habit formed from years of carrying power and surviving its consequences. He tossed the keys to the man standing beside him. As he walked up the stone steps, the grand doors were already opened by one of the staff. "Señor Agustín. Ellos te estan esperando en el jardin." the man said and bowed. (Translation: Mr. Agustín. They are waiting for you in the garden.) Agustín gave a short nod and walked through the familiar halls — filled with family portraits, heavy old chandeliers, and the scent of rosemary and fresh oranges. He walked inside the mansion entering into a luminous, open-concept loft in the heart of Madrid’s trendiest district. The space was a study in modern minimalism: expansive floor-to-c

Madrid, Spain. Just after dawn, the private jet sliced through the soft Spanish sky, its engines humming low and steady. As the aircraft touched down on the secluded airstrip just outside the city, the world outside was still bathed in the golden hush of early morning. It looked so pleasing to the eye and could calm one's heart. The weather and time zone was completely changed from New York. Inside the jet, Innara sat by the window, one hand resting gently on her swollen belly, the other clutching the thin shawl Agustín had placed over her shoulders during the flight. Her face was pale, her eyes quietly scanning the unfamiliar land, but there was a flicker of calm beneath the exhaustion. She was so nervous not knowing what her future holds for her. Agustín, seated across from her, didn’t speak much — not because he had nothing to say, but because he knew she needed silence more than words. He studied her out of the corner of his eye — the way her fingers trembled slightly, the b

New York, America. Two days later – the day of departure. The sky over New York was steel-grey, heavy with the promise of rain. A soft wind tangled the leaves on the pavement as luxury sedans waited quietly outside a discreet, high-walled safehouse tucked in the quieter part of the city. Inside, everything was in motion — quiet, calm, but purposeful. Agustin stood by the front window, dressed in a tailored black coat, his phone to his ear, giving one last confirmation to his team in Spain. His face was calm as always — but his eyes stayed sharp, scanning more than they showed. He’d been watching every door, every vehicle outside for hours now. Because he knew eyes were on him. And he knew why. For the last two days, his men had quietly reported signs of someone watching from afar — unmarked cars parked too long, strangers pretending to scroll on phones, a drone caught flying too close to the rooftop cameras. His enemy had noticed his presence in America, but he didn’t yet k
