Prologue

Daniel's POV

 I went on with my life, not expecting even a tiny bit of happiness to find me, I was just living under the dark side of life. Killing, hunting monsters. No happiness, not even love. Nothing could reach my frozen soul. That is, if I had a soul.

I was convinced, no one would be able to love me either. But you proved me wrong, slowly, you warmed your way inside my heart, melting every frozen corner of my soul. And slowly, I fell in love with you. You were everything for me. I didn't know what it feels like to love someone and yet you taught me so patiently, and before I knew it I have already loved you more than anything.

If you ask for my life I would give it without question asked. If you want my heart on your hand then get a knife and pull my beating heart out. If you want to leave me, then leave, but please kill me first. Because life has no light if there was no you to guide my way.

Why they took away my only reason to breathe?

I thought I lost you. I wanted to die, get some peace and be with you. But I couldn't. So I waited. I watched as your body turned to ashes in front of my eyes, watched, as it decays and our memories became an old movie that kept replaying in my head. Only keeping me at the edge of sanity.

Centuries later, I thought you were gone but then... you appeared. You still looked the same, with your crown of golden hair and dark hooded eyes that always seemed to pierce everyone it landed on, the opposite of me, the light to my dark. I'll make you remember me and love me again.

Even if I have to set the world on fire.
