For over a century, the only remaining vampire of the powerful McCain bloodline, Lynn McCain has wandered around the world slaughtering human families for sport and vengeance. One such human, Brad Callaway, a survivor of her onslaught has decided to revenge on Lynn. Surprisingly she decides to keep him as a pet and a blood bank. The two hate and despise each other to the core but as time goes by somehow they both realize they were meant to be. As much as they bury the hatchet, now the biggest problem is co-existing with one mortal and another capable of living for eternity. Not to mention the enemies Lynn has collected over the years of brutality, specifically her half a century dead Ex-boyfriend Ludwig who has just woke from the dead.

Chapter 1: The devil on vacation
Lynn McCainIt had been close to a month since I moved to Salem and two since I buried my razor-sharp fangs in human flesh and drank their blood from the vein. Trust me. That was like an eternity for someone who had spent an entire century killing, maiming and terrorizing humans for fun and sometimes for sport. You know, tell them to run then see how long it can take to rip their spines out in a single shake of a lamb's tail. Anyway, doing the same thing over and over again can only lead to a couple of things. One is you get better at it and the other one, which was my problem, you get bored out of your damn mind. Chapter 2: I am vengeance
Brad CallawayAt nine in the evening, the plane landed at Salem community airport. Salem was officially the place I was going to avenge my family. As the giant Boeing 707 rolled on the runway, I got out the only reminder of my family, a small picture of my mum and dad with their parents and in-laws. I had every reason to believe that the vampire who killed them was in Salem. The blood banks were being robbed and those in charge had no memory of what transpired, typical McCain, the last remaining of her bloodline. For years, I had hunted her down in the forest and woods where I thought she lived, but I kept running head fast to the same brick wall. I didn't know her. We hadn't met yet, all I had was a picture, and it matched the one captured in the CCTV camera of the last hospital she hit. And she had not aged a day."Welcome to Salem Brad, Kindly state the purpose of your visit," the immigration official said going through my passport."Education sir, I have a letter of offer from Tri

Chapter 3: Low profile
LynnThat morning looked crisp, the skies were deep blue and the sun was rising, its golden rays spreading warmth to the earth for the ungrateful humans who were still asleep. I was seated at my arctic my legs crossed reading my third book since leaving the club angry the previous night. That was the advantage of never catching sleep. You have a lot of free time. Books were my little silent friends, I had libraries of them in my basement. The last time I had friends they all turned against me when a bounty was put on my head. Of course, I killed them all and decided, friends were useless. They were just on the list of future enemies waiting for the right opportunity to stab you in the back. Anyway, I carried my books back to the library and arranged them in the order they initially were then took a glass and opened the door to my underground bunker where I kept my blood bags in a freezer. Two glasses later I emerged and changed into my gym clothes. It was time for the morning run. T
