Meeting His Daughter

I chewed the inside of my cheek while staring at his held out hand as though it was going to shoot bullets at me. Would it tingle if I touched him? I will be done for if it did.

“Eva,” Aaron prompted, bringing me from my inner debate. I looked over at Aaron and then at his brother who was already eyeing me intently.

I clenched unclenched my hand before slowly lifting and eventually slipping it into his hand. My heart had legit stopped for a second.

Ths rub patches of his palm slid against the softness of my skin. His giant hand clasped mine in a firm grip, conveying his authority and dominance over all of us. Thankfully, it didn’t tingle. But my heart did miss a beat. That hand had killed many but all I felt was a strange sense of comfort. His strong grip spoke of tenacity. He knew how to hold onto something.

He glanced down at our joined hands and stared at it with slightly dipped brows. It seemed he was anticipating something. Tingles? Does he know? I pulled away a moment late
