"What else do we need to buy, Mom?"

At his physique hindi ka maniniwalang five years old pa siya. My son is tall. Halata ding matalino, not that I'm bragging but my son really is a smart kid. And I'm really proud of him.

"What dish do you want me to cook for our lunch, baby?"

"Mom, stop that. I'm not a baby anymore," He whined, pouting his pinkish lips. How can this kid get cuter than he seems to be?

"But you are my baby, aren't you," I teased him more, poking his side and making him glare at me.

"Well, how about pinakbet?" I looked sideways before suggesting to him.

He nodded his head, perking his lips and showing me his pearly white teeth.

"That sounds good, Mom," Lumapit siya sakin at tinulungan akong mamili ng mga gulay.

"This looks good, Mom," Wika niya habang nakatingin sa mga pinili namin, sinama na din niya ang mga ingredients para sa paborito naming garden salad.

"Let's go, baby, shall we?"

"Do you want me to buy chocolates?"

"It's okay, Mom we have lots of them at home, you don't need to buy one," Pagtanggi niya. "I'm so happy," Dugtong niya.

"Why is my baby boy happy, hmm?"

He gave me a soft stare.

"Because you are here with me. That's enough reason to make me happy, you're always busy with work and I'm also busy with school. So, I miss bonding with you." He honestly confessed.

Aw, my little lion.

"I love you, Mom, At niyakap ako pabalik.

"I love you too, son. Shall we go now? But I'm not bothered anyway.

"Mom, are you okay?" My son asked but I could hint the worry in his tons, he began walking towards my direction and picked some goods that accidentally fallen out of the grocery bag. Binigay niya pabalik sakin yun. Dahil alam niyang pagsasabihan ko siyang bawal siyang bumuhat ng mga mabibigat, but that wasn't the case now.

"Please apologize to my Mom," He ordered but in a polite way.

She hopefully asked. Malambot niyang tiningnan ang anak ko.

"No, Ma'am." Malamig kong tugon.

I know this is beyond being rude.

"Quira, please tell me, he's my grandson." She pleaded.

Seryoso kong tiningnan ang anak ko. "Inside the car, son."

"Quira I know malaki ang kasalanan ng anak ko sayo, but please tell me he's my grandson. She said desperately.

"There's nothing to hide now. And yes he is your grandson.

"You know I can't do that, Quira. He's a Madrigal. And he deserves a good life.

"You can't ask for forgiveness and want to have them right away. It doesn't work that way, Mrs. Madrigal. And don't try to tell your son dahil mas lalo kong ilalayo sa pamilya niyo ang anak ko. We are living a peaceful life and please leave us alone, ayokong mapalapit o makilala man lang ng isa sa pamilya niyo ang anak ko. I am capable of raising him on my own. I can take care of my own son, alam kong ilalayo niyo lang sakin ang anak ko. And do you think I'll let any of you do that? Well the answer is no Mrs. Madrigal. And with that I left her. Mabilis akong sumakay sa kotse at nagmaneho pa uwi.

The private island villa was pure paradise distilled—turquoise waters lapping at powdery white sands, palm fronds whispering in the breeze, and layered security that made it feel like the safest place on earth. For five glorious days, Cinthye and Damien shed the weight of their empire. The quadruplets were cocooned back at the sanctuary under Romnick’s over-the-top protection, Aiva’s digital fortress, and the crew’s relentless vigilance. This sliver of time belonged only to them. The moment their feet touched the dock, Damien swept Cinthye into his arms like they were newlyweds all over again. That first night, moonlight flooded the open-air master suite as he carried her over the threshold. He set her down slowly, green eyes burning with weeks of pent-up hunger. “I’ve waited too damn long for this,” he growled, backing her toward the massive four-poster bed with deliberate steps. Clothes became a forgotten trail across marble floors. Damien’s hands and mouth worshipped her with

"They'll discover who ordered Cinthye's father's murder." Cinthye looked at the space, the words echoing inside her head. Damien remained silent beside her, unmoving and focused elsewhere. Because Damien's expression had become terrifying. He did not look angry or furious. Not murderous. That was the surface level feeling she sensed but Cinthye knew better than that. Deep inside Damien he was planning something. He had always been a man of a few words and Cinthye knew that better than anyone. He did not talk because he's not ready to talk. This topic was sensitive. Everything about family triggers both of them. Cinthye wished that she could grab his hand, hug and offer some support. But silence and her presence is what he needs now. Cinthye did that. She didn't want to be a distraction to him. She wanted to be his catalyst for growth. Even now she can't believe she became his wife. A year before this Cinthye was focus with her fame and reputation, mostly due to the reason she wante

For the first time all day Cinthye laughed. A real laugh. Damien stared at her and did the same thing. His laugh was rare and beautiful. The tension broke. Just a little. Nicholas burst through the archive doors out of breath and covered in dust which was becoming concerningly normal. "What now?" The tracker looked pale. Nicholas held up a folder, a newly discovered file. One hidden beneath the adoption records. One nobody had ever seen before. His voice shook. "We found the final report." "What report?" Cinthye asks. Nicholas slowly opened the file and turned it toward them. At the top sat a photograph a photograph of Alejandro Cator standing beside another man. A man everyone recognized instantly, Sergei Volkov. Young and smiling at the camera. Brothers hand written beneath the image were four words that changed everything. PROJECT PHOENIX: SUCCESSFUL SUBJECTS Standing side by side. Not enemies. Not rivals but a family. Damien slowly took the file. His eyes scanned

The guard collapsed without a sound. Their eyes remained focus on him, secretly exchanging glances. Then the sanctuary exploded."North ridge!""Take cover!""Shields up!""Move, move, move!"Hidden warriors flooded the courtyard.Wooden doors slammed shut.Ancient bells screamed across the mountains.Cinthye reached for the pistol at her waist.Damien caught her wrist immediately."Stay behind me.""Absolutely not.""Cinthye—""I'm not hiding while someone shoots at us."Another shot cracked through the valley.BANG.A stone lantern shattered beside them.Fragments sprayed across the courtyard.Master Aurelio didn't even flinch."Inside," he ordered."We're being attacked," Cinthye snapped."No," the old man replied. "We're being measured."Silence.Even Damien frowned."Explain."Aurelio pointed toward the ridge."If they wanted us dead, the second shot would have taken one of you."Another pause."They're announcing themselves."Well.That was somehow worse.---An hour later, the

The contractions returned with a vengeance at 3:17 AM, tearing through the sanctuary like an enemy assault no one could outrun. Cinthye jolted awake with a sharp, guttural cry, her hands fisting the sheets as white-hot pain radiated through her body. The quadruplets were done waiting. Damien was instantly awake, his warrior instincts kicking in. His eyes widened with controlled panic, but his movements were pure precision as he scooped her into his arms, cradling her heavy form against his chest. “It’s time,” she gasped, another wave ripping through her like lightning. “All of them—Damien, they’re coming fast! I can feel it!” The sanctuary medical wing transformed into a controlled storm of urgency. Alarms blared in measured tones. Doctors and nurses moved with military precision, holographic displays flashing vital signs. Outside the reinforced doors, the crew sprang into action. Romnick paced like a caged animal, cracking nervous jokes to hide his fear. Nicholas barked orders int
