Dominic never left my side after we decided to continue walking around the dark Black Forest. That argument with Killian put tension between the three of us and I couldn't understand why I had to deal with those two when I was just supposed to look for Moon Wolf Spring alone.

How many times had passed? One? Two? I had no idea, but it felt like we were just walking in circles inside the forest, despite the guidance on the map.

I didn’t know what was wrong or whether the Black Forest was deceiving us, as all the paths appeared identical to me.

My husband’s hands were on my elbow, hip, or hand, and I couldn’t understand why he had to be so touchy and possessive in front of Killian when he knew that the MoonStone Alpha was already mated with the MoonStone Witch.

I wanted to feel annoyed by his childishness, but I ultimately found myself enjoying it instead. He had been very busy for the past week, so we didn’t even have time to talk alone, even for a minute.
