×Jamie×A gentle breeze blew into the room through large open windows that were on the wall on my right and a tall bookshelf that was neatly occupied by various books stood behind Mr. Parker's desk. The exit was on the far left - leaving me with no way to leave unnoticed.Three lantern-like chandeliers hang above us on the wooden ceiling. The walls were forest green and on his table were various books, a steaming cup of coffee and pens inside a white mug that had been scribbled over by a child with a blue marker.The setting of the room was calm and peaceful although my heart was anything but those things. ×Higan×A loud yawn escaped me as I sat up and stretched my arms above my head. The sun was already high in the sky and it's brightness lit up every corner of my bedroom. I groggily looked around and noticed that Jamie wasn't in the room. "Looking for me?" Jamie asked and I looked at the direction of the bathroom door. He was walking towards me with a towel on his head and another wrapped around his waist."Yeah. You're from taking a shower?" I asked, my eyes dropping to the towel around his waist. "Nope. I just woke up to pee.""And the towel on your head?""I just put it there after washing my face." He removed both towels from his body and put them on the nightstand before sliding under the covers. ×Jamie×It has been ten years since I last saw Christian Martin. Ten years of no calls, messages or visits. Ten years of being absent on every birthday, school activitiy and holiday. ×Jamie×The loud and consistent ringing of my phone had me groaning as I pulled the covers over my head. Despite my many attempts to ignore it, the calls persisted and I had no choice but to see who it was. Reaching out, I grabbed my phone, which was on the nightstand, and looked at the screen with squinted eyes. Kate's name was on the screen and after rolling my eyes, I ended the call. No sooner had I cut the call, than a message from her popped up. "We are downstairs," it read and I couldn't be more confused. Looking at the top of the screen, I saw that it was past ten in the morning and I immediately stood up as all the sleep left me. I pulled on a pair of sweatpants and splashed some water on my face before rushing down. I paused at the bottom of the stairs when the sound of laughter streamed into the hall. Seeing that the joy was coming from the kitchen, I went there and was greeted with a sight of Kate, Natalia and my sisters. They all sat around the granite island, talking

×Higan×My eyes quickly darted around the full parking lot, searching for a space, as I impatiently tapped my fingers on the steering wheel. I had just arrived at the hospital after receiving a distressed call from Jamie and I was trying to have positive thoughts on my way here. Finally finding a parking space, I parked my car and quickly made my way inside the building. I rushed down the hallway to the area that he mentioned over the phone and sighed in relief when I spotted him and his sisters. He was seated in between them and had them in his embrace. My relief died instantly when I noticed the state that he was in. His hair hang over his eyes and he seemed exhausted.
