Chapter 22: Unexpected Twist
Fuoco and Mia got into the cab and headed home. Inside the cab, there was extreme silence!
Both of them wanted to say something but were waiting for the other to begin first.
Mia was trying to figure out what just happened and Fuoco was waiting for Mia's reactions.
After a few minutes of silence, finally Mia asked Fuoco calmly," Are you okay?"
Fuoco nodded her head.
Fuoco asked her the same to which Mia also gave a nod in affirmation.
Mia finally asked the question that was troubling her," Fuoco...how did you do that?"
Fuoco aka Natalie was dreading this question only. All this while, she was reasoning with her whether to tell Mia everything or not. She knew that Mia is a kind and lovely girl and would love to help her knowing her situation but she knew that once a secret is told to someone....it doesn't remain secret anymore.
