Chapter Eleven

I didn't hear Willow proclaim Logan as our mate. But I could sense her considering and hoping for it. I still only saw him as the man who stole my friend and now is taking me hostage. It all happened so fast, as I tried to argue with dad, but he wouldn't have any of it.

"Beautiful is interesting, but I don't think we know each other well enough for nicknames. Do you?" I asked him polietly. I was still holding his hand with both of mine. He furrowed his brows in frustration at my question while still attempting to comfort me.

"So would you prefer to stay on the Beta floor?" He asked, changing the topic. I looked back out the window and watched as the treeline of the forest was zipping by. I felt weak and defeated as I contemplated his question. "They are still in the beginning of the mating phase, I'd like to get sleep and give them privacy at the same time." I looked back over to see him smile as we drove through the gate of the Moonlight Pack.

    Isabelle Tristian visibly looked uncomfortable at Logan's question. He adjusted himself several times in his chair before he looked around. He looked over at me, and I could feel the stinging behind my eyes. But I still continued to look at him. "What do you want to know?" Tristain asked him. "Well, Alpha David stole your mate from you, I was just wondering if he may have stolen another mates from anyone else?" Logan shrugged as if it was a simple question.     Isabelle I started to choke on my drink, well, everyone gasped, everyone except Logan. He looked over at me quickly to make sure I was okay, I waived him off while Anna quickly rushed over with a napkin to help me with the mess I had just made. "You are the only one who doesn't seem surprised?" Tristian questioned Logan. Logan simply shrugged. "To be honest with you, I kind of had my suspicions it was something. Especially after overhearing what David said to Isabelle in her office yesterday." Immediately, Tristian looked scared. "Don't worry, he had no idea you are here. Isabelle made sure of that." He gestured to me, I nodded my head when he looked over to assure him that it was true. When I finally regained my composure, I felt brave enough to speak. "Does she know?" I asked Tristian.
