Archie POV
“Arch, I have to go. I’ll call you later, mate”, Josh says, and I can’t help but worry about him, he is meeting that guy, and I don’t know if it’s jealousy taking over or if it’s just me worrying for my best friend. He was just jumped by some creeps because he is gay, and then he goes and meets someone like this.
“Josh, mate, you alright?”, I ask, and I can hear Josh telling me he will call me later, he ends the call, and I can’t help but feel my heart shatter into small pieces. What the hell is going on with me? I pass my hands through my hair as I sit back on my chair. I close my eyes taking a deep breath.
Memories from when we were younger come crashing down, how he only wanted me until I decided I couldn’t tell my parents, I couldn’t come out. I remember the disappointment in his eyes as he looked at me. He walked out of your room and didn’t come back for two days. I couldn’t find him, and he was

Leticia POV Archie has been weirder than normal, he is not eating properly, and he is agreeing with everything that I want for the wedding; it is like he has no life in him. I am starting to worry about him, and I don’t like where this is going, but I think that only one person can help him. Josh. I roll my eyes at myself in the mirror as I think about how Josh can help Archie. This is unbelievable. I am gonna have to contact that excuse of a person and get him to talk to Archie and see what is going on. I am not a total bitch, and I do worry about Archie. Sometimes. I grab my phone that is sitting on my vanity table, and I press Josh’s name. On the second ring, he answers his phone. I look at my reflection in the mirror. “What can I do for you, you shrew”, he says I contain myself, so I don’t tell him to fuck off straight away. I pass my hands through my hair, preparing myself for this conversation. I know it is not going to be pleasant. “Stop being a dickhead for once; your fr
Archie POV“Archibald Wright, pay attention to your mother” - I hear my father’s sharp voice, and it brings me back to reality. These family dinners are always annoying. I look around, and everyone has their eyes on me. Great. I lower my eyes, and I start fiddling with my glass.“Sorry, mother”, - I let out while I take my scotch glass to my mouth, and I realise it is empty. I click my fingers and point at my glass while one of the servants brings the bottle and pours some more.“Leave the bottle”, - I say, and automatically mother coughs, catching the servant’s attention and shakes her head. I offer her a small smile, and I can see her face change from fear from my mother to the warmth I cause her.I can’t deny that she is one of my favourites. Every time these dinners drag more than I would like, I end up having some fun in the dry store around the corner from the kitchen with one of the many girls m
Leticia POVArchie mumbles a few words nervously while he’s standing on one knee proposing to me, but I honestly ignore what he is saying. I can only look at the ring in his hand, and once he slides it onto my finger, I feel how heavy it is, and my heart flutters with happiness. I can even say I felt as if I was about to cry.I am engaged to Archibald Wright, the heir of the Wright fortune. He will be the sole heir of everything if he complies with marrying me. I couldn’t be happier right now. After placing a kiss on my finger where the ring is, Archie stands up, and I hug him pulling him into a soft kiss. He wraps his long arms around my waist and pulls me closer to him. My heart is beating faster than usual, and he can feel it.“Are you feeling okay, princess?” - he asks, placing a small kiss on the tip of my nose.He knows how much I hate when he does that, but today is the happiest day of my life so far, so I w
Joshua POVToday is my best friend engagement party, and I still can’t believe that the idiot is marrying Leticia. I wouldn't say I like her guts. She’s a gold digger, and I am the only one that can see it. Even his family is all in love with her. Especially his mother and father. They were the ones that introduced her to him at one of their big parties to find Archie, a wife.Archie has always done everything that his parents asked him to do. He always ends up drinking too much to get away from his family’s pressure. I remember the exact day when we met. Boarding school, year five. We were both young and naive. He thought his parents were doing that for his own good, while I knew that mine was doing it to me as a punishment for all the wrong things I was doing.Archie was always a goodie two shoes but then with me by his side, and
Archie POV“Is there another woman in your house? Is that it?” Leticia asks, and I can’t even believe she is asking that.“Of course not. Are you crazy? I just thought you would like to sleep in your own bed”, I reply“Stay with me then”, Leticia says, and I can’t help but roll my eyes.“Baby, please”, I say, now facing her.“Archibald, you either stay with me, or I go with you”, Leticia says, and I can’t help but take a deep breath.“I'll stay”, I let out as soon as the car comes to a stop, and I open the door sliding out.“Good”, She says, sliding after me and taking my hand. The doorman opens the building door, greeting us both with a smile and polite as ever. As soon as we reach the lift, Leticia pushes me against the wall and kisses me deeply. I pull her hair back, allowing me access to her neck while she
Josh POVHe checks in, and the receptionist recognises me, and I offer her a small smile. I usually come here with Archie for lunch, they have the best mushroom Risotto in town, and I am a sucker for it. Once we get to the room, he pushes me against the wall, and I forget all about Archie and Leticia as soon as his lips collapse against mine.He starts to push me harder against the wall while taking my jacket off.“Calm down”, I say between kisses. He takes my jacket off and throws it somewhere on the floor, and after he takes his. Our hands move between our bodies, stripping each other as fast as we can. He’s fast, and I like it. I don’t like guys who don’t know what they want. That brings you to their room and then pretends not to be interested in sex. But then this is going too fast.I break the kiss, and I put both my hands on his shoulders, separati
Leticia POVArchie leaves every time Josh gets into trouble. That really annoys me. Why is he always the priority? This is ridiculous. I keep walking around the house, trying to find a way to get Archie to come back to me. He can’t just leave me every time that Josh blinks an eye or breaks a nail. ARGH. Why am I not the priority? I am Archie’s fiancé.It’s been a while since he left, and he hasn’t called me. What the hell Archie, we just got engaged, and you walk away on our engagement night. I don’t like this at all. I can’t shake the feeling that Josh does this stuff on purpose to get on my nerves. He can be such a drama queen.I grab my phone that is on charge on the bedside table, and I start calling Archie. Obviously, his obnoxious assistant answers the phone. I know she has a crush on him. I’ve
Archie POV "You're overreacting", Leticia says and I can’t help myself and I punch the wall near her head, her eyes go wide opened and she looks at me in shock. I’ve never been an aggressive person but she is pushing all the limits and all the wrong buttons, that’s my best friend and brother in there, he’s fighting for his life and this woman thinks its okay to come here and make everything about her? If I didn’t need to marry her I would be dropping her right now. For fuck sake. What is wrong with her? “Don’t be a bitch”, I let out walking away from her, just looking at her right now is making my stomach twist. I walk to the waiting room where Josh’s parents are waiting for news from the doctors and for my surprise my parents walk in not long after me. They both walk to Mr and Mrs Green and they hit and exchange polite words while I sit in the corner with Leticia sitting next to me. I don’t even want to look at her but I have to say it is nice to have someon
