Cake

The luxury in life was never a big deal to me until I came to the mansion of Lord Minir, where I was introduced to all things sparkly , romantic and dark. Looking back at the years I lived when I was in the shelter, I would gross at these expensive things. But now, I'm wearing one of it.

Gerber put on the expensive rose oil in my body, making my skin looked healthier and smoother. She also made sure that my scent will always be catchy, heads shall turn when I walk pass them. My hair was in an updo with expensive silver clips around it, forming a flower and leaves combination.

She dressed me up in a long, black and red dress. It drops on the ground, covered the point of my black shoes. She, Gerber herself, was wearing a brown dress with the same length as mine. The only difference is my ruffled sleeves and her normal ones. Atlas, on the other hand, looked stunning in her dark emerald dress that glimmers with her silver jewels.

We looked like spoiled daughters of artistocrats or royals. The others wore the same elegant dresses as us. Five black carriages are waiting for us outside. As we waited by the end of the stairs for Lord Minir to come down, I couldn't help but feel strange. There's something around us, creeping in the shadows. I just can't put into words what they are.

I dismissed the distracting thoughts and anticipated for Lord Minir to come down. When he went down the stairs, his eyes directly landed on me. I almost choked on my saliva when a smirk rose on the side of his lips. When he stepped on the same level as we're in, he gestured his elbow to me. I accepted it willingly and lead everyone out of the mansion.

    "You look gorgeous, darling."

"So are you, master." I giggled.

We wen to the carriages and rode fo r like 30 minutes before we arrived to small town. Everyone decided to head first to the shops with jewelries. They picked the finest of the finest golds, stones, gems, diamonds. And here I was, enjoying the view of them picking their favorite stones.

Lord Minir brushed his finger onthe edge of the glasses that covered the jewelries. He asked one of the staffs to take one out and walked to me. He showed me a ruby in a necklace.

"I like how red always look good on you." He smiled while showing me the ruby.

    "Thank you. It's nice...master."

"Of course, it is. Do you like it?"

    I nodded, "Yes."

He stood straight and turned to the staffs, " Get me all your finest ruby."

After we bought a lot of jewelries, they decided to go the shoes first. Lord Minir bought me a lot of red shoes. He said that red looks good on me so he's buying me a lot of red things.

At some point as we headed to another shop and picked some clothes, it felt like I shouldn't have gone with them. It's too much. I swear, it's a lot of things already. Too expensive for my liking!

I once dreamed of this to happen. But now that I am here, it felt like my conscience has been racing in my mind. It's like I don't deserve any of this.

" What are you doing?! Go pick some dresses!" Gerber shook my shoulders.

I sighed, " Of course, I will. I just enjoyed watchin all of you this happy. "

She groaned, " Pick some dresses or you'll end up with the ugliest ones! "

" Don't worry, Gerber. I already picked one for her," Lord Minir interrupted us.

I pursed my lips, hiding my blush.

"Oh, that's why. Look at you, Lord Minir. It's like the wheels have turned now. You're becoming her slave, huh? That's good. Make him kneel, Sol!" Gerber cheered teasingly before leavin the two of us.

"Someday, I'm firing her," Lord Minir seriously said.

    I gasped, " Don't do that!"

He smirked, "I was just fooling. Look, it's a red gown."

He showed me the gown he was holding. One of the staffs came and took it from him, putting it inside a bag.

    " T-Thank you... "

" I know your size so don't worry if it doesn't fit you, because it will. It's made exclusively for you. "

    " Thank you, master. "

My heart is so full. Fuller than before.

"I-I don't know how to pay all these back... "

He smirked, " Well, I know how."

I stared at him. And after a few seconds of being in cloud nine, I only realized now that we're both strangled inside this carriage, his head buried in my shoulders, sipping my blood like it's becoming addicting to him.

Lord Minir squeezed my waist, pulling me deep into his lap. I let out a loud moan when I felt his hands in my chest but he stopped me by covering my mouth. He kept on sipping my blood that it feels like I am slowly losing my life out of the pleasure he gives me.

He tightened his hold around me until it felt painful, painful yet... I'm too insatiable to even think about pain right now. Lord Minir let go of me as soon as the carriage moved, signaling that the coach was ready to go.

Gasping, he rested his face on my chest. He looked at me with a worried face and gave me short kiss.

"Was I too aggressive?" He asked, worried of my health, I guess.

    I shook my head instantly.

"It's alright. I can take it."

He smirked, "No, you can't. You're still an amateur."

We arrived back at the mansion before sundown. We were already tired, worn out because of the heavy bags of dresses and the other stuffs we bought. Everyone was busy unpacking their stuffs and I headed directly to Lord Minir's chamber since it's the only chamber he allowed to let me stay ever since that accident.

I took a short nap and after a long while, I realized I slept for so long. When I woke up in the middle of the night, Lord Minir was busy reading a book by the lampshade. His back was on me yet when I got off the bed, he noticed that I was awake.

"It's already late. Go back to bed, woman."

    " I'm hungry, master... "

He sighed, closed the book and placed it on the desk. Lord Minir stood on the edge of the bed, just in front of me.

"What do you want to eat?"

"Anything? I feel so thirsty, master."

" I'll cook you something. Stay in here."

" Okay. Can you make me something? "

    He was attentive to me.

    " What is it?"

    "Um, anything sweet? A cake?"

    " I don't bake. But I'll see to it. "

   " Thank you... "

He left the room. The moment he left, I hurried on my way to the library and took the book that Count Vlad gave to me. I began opening it under the sheets. At first, it looked like there was no words in it. But then, the light of the candlelight dropped on the paper, and the ink written on it glimmered.

    Oh, god. It's hidden carefully.

When I heard the sound of utensils coming from outside the door, I immediately hid the book under the sheets and waited for Lord Minir to come. He brought some cake, milk, and other sweet pastries.

"Eat up. You're too thin. You should eat a lot, darling. "
