Kaia POV

“You know, we are going to need to have a Luna Ceremony after we get settled, trouble,” Isaiah said to me as we made our way to Ironclaw.

“You mean, as Thalia had?”

“Yup. You are my Luna, and everyone will have to respect you. If not, they won’t like the consequences.”

I snuggled up to Isaiah, “Are you going to go all Alpha on anyone who messes with me?”

His eyes darkened with desire. “No one touches what’s mine, trouble. Plus, you are carrying my pup, too. You both are my priority…alw

I don’t like Gamma John already who else has opportunity for the emails unless it’s beta Aric it sounds like he thought Paul had something to do with his sisters death

  • His Clever Mate (Book 3: The 'His' Series)   Chapter 75: First Visitors

Kaia POVI slept for a solid ten hours last night. That never happens to me. Pregnancy hormones are wild. Isaiah has his arm possessively on my belly, and he is dead asleep. I, however, need to pee.I sneak out of Isaiah’s arms, and before I am completely free, I hear a groggy voice. “Stay a little longer.”“Isaiah, I’ve been asleep for ten hours. I need to pee, stickler.”He chuckled and let go. I made my way to the bathroom, and holy hell, it’s huge! While I’m relieving myself, I look at the huge tub that could fit ten people. The shower is also huge. It looks like it has nozzles coming from all directions. I bet the shower nozzles on the walls could massage my back right now.I washed my hands and noticed the sinks are made of stone and copper. It feels like a very earthy combination, as does the rest of the bathroom. In fact, the bathroom looks upgraded with the latest and greatest of everything. Did Paul put money into stuff like this for his own convenience rather than investing

  • His Clever Mate (Book 3: The 'His' Series)   Chapter 74: A visit to Ironclaw

Austin POVMy phone rang, and I saw it was Isaiah video calling me. I answered the call, “Hey, son. How is everything at Ironclaw?”“Hey, Dad. Is Mom there with you? I want to talk to both of you.”I raised an eyebrow, but looked over at Rebel. Ever since we stepped down from running the pack, we have settled in a little cottage on the pack lands. We are still highly respected, and we usually try to have at least one meal a day at the dining hall in the pack house to stay close to our kids. But on nights like tonight, we wanted to stay in, so Rebel is whipping us up some food.“Darlin’, Isaiah is on the phone and wants to talk to both of us.”Rebel looks at me and smiles excitedly. Man, after all these years, she still takes my breath away when she smiles. She walks over to me and sits on my lap.“Hello, my son,” Rebel says as she looks at Isaiah.“Hey, Mom. Okay, first, Dad…this place is so messed up. No lead warrior. Alpha Paul treated the pack house like a frat house and brothel in

  • His Clever Mate (Book 3: The 'His' Series)   Chapter 73: He lost

Mystery POVPaul lost everything. That’s all I care about. Having a new Alpha and Luna, and that Luna is his ex-wife, is just the cherry on top. I’m glad she survived, looking at the turn of events that have unfolded in recent days.I don’t feel bad for framing her father. He was a nasty piece of work and looked at dollar signs, rather than his daughter’s happiness. He can continue to rot in prison for all I care.I pat the pocket on my shirt. I think about the past. Tears form in my eyes. Stripping Paul of everything is just the beginning. I won’t rest until he is banished from the pack and forced to live out the rest of his days as a rogue. I have them on standby, too.The only way to kill bastards like him is to dismantle him. First, strip him of his power and status. Then bankrupt him. After that, take the one thing he cares most about, the pack. I honestly didn’t think he was smart enough to think about putting it in trust, but he was, and if it wasn’t for the divine intervention

  • His Clever Mate (Book 3: The 'His' Series)   Chapter 72: Talking to Max

Isaiah POVI asked one of the guards where to find Max. The guard mind-linked him, then told me he would meet me in my new office in five minutes.I went up and took a look at everything in the office. I could smell several different she-wolves in this room. It’s nauseating. I opened the windows and then made a mental note to have the omegas deep-clean this room to get the stench out. I’m also replacing this desk. I don’t even want to think about the infections sitting on the surface.I know there is a stigma about women sleeping around, but even men can be whores. Paul is clearly a whore. I don’t even know what women see in him. He is an arrogant and pompous motherfucker. While I’m in my thoughts, on finalizing how many pieces of furniture I’m going to need to replace, Max walks in.“Isaiah, you wanted to talk to me?”“Hey, Max. Yeah. Come on in. I’m sorry about the smell in here. Your son clearly did a lot more than just work in here.”Max’s face flushed with embarrassment. “Would y

  • His Clever Mate (Book 3: The 'His' Series)   Chapter 71: Look At You Lead

Isaiah POVI know my mate is trouble, but she is also a force. She likes seeing everyone around her happy. She wasn’t wrong when she said she was colorful. She is, and being in a dreary place like Ironclaw is the kind of project she is clearly going to thrive in.We are talking to the omegas, and they are asking all kinds of questions. There are a lot of lies and rumors being spread about Blackstone here. We took the better part of an hour talking to everyone and answering their questions.By the time we were done talking to them, it was lunchtime. Everyone looked much more relaxed. Then the omega named Sheri asked Kaia, “Luna, we haven’t been allowed to plant flowers since Alpha Paul became Alpha. He said it wasn’t in the budget. Do you know if the finances are bad? Are we in jeopardy of being pack-less?”Kaia looked at me, and I responded, “First, your Luna is a very colorful personality. I already know that her teeth itch in the dreary environment. Second, we just got here. I need

Plus, you are carrying my pup, too. You both are my priority…always,” he said.My heart melts at how protective he is of our pup and me. I bury my face into the crook of his neck and then exhale, feeling safe.We get to the gates of Ironclaw, and the same guard from the dinner is there. Does he take breaks?“Alpha Isaiah, Luna Kaia, welcome to Ironclaw. Alpha Max said you would be coming. Please, go through.”We get to the pack house. Ironclaw looks bland and murky. There is no color here. I will change that later, but first, we need to get settled in. Alpha
