Alina’s POV

The morning after the first night it had happened, I woke up to the endless throbbing of my head, my neck sore and my throat even more sore. He has made me suck his stinking cock, I refused initially but after I was beaten, i scummed. A thin sheen of sweat covered every inch of my body making my tank top stick to my chest uncomfortably.

My limbs ached, my throat was dry and my legs and arms felt shaky. All of this combined with the dull pain in my ribs meant I couldn't walk on my own anymore, not in this state.

Still, the moment I noticed I couldn't move I tried again, pulling myself up using a nearby table. Slowly I managed to stand but instantly regretted it, my legs gave way under me and I collapsed to the ground, my head landing on the floor beside me.

A muffled sob escaped my lips as I laid my head on the floor and closed my eyes, the light of the sun blinding me. I couldn't move or talk, I had no idea how much time had passed before the first knock resounded at the door.

I wanted to ignore them and pretend I didn't exist. However, I had no other choice since I couldn't open my mouth even if my life depended on it.

“Why the hell are you still laying there?” Mother opened as soon as she pushed my door open.

She glared at me and started pacing around the small space in my room. “You look pathetic lying here all day, get up and clean yourself up, I don't want your disgusting stink to fill the house today. You're useless Melissa! Why do you bother with me, why can't you do everything that is asked of you?”

Tears filled my eyes, my breathing became erratic, and the pain in my ribs became unbearable. Mother’s insults never bothered me, it's not like they mattered to me.

“Get up!”She yelled.

The pain in my ribs became unbearable but I forced myself to stay awake, I couldn't afford to show weakness, not today anyway.

I heard her footsteps approaching as my vision started growing darker. I closed my eyes and prayed the pain would end soon.

It did, the pain went away, I almost cried when I opened my eyes. I saw Mother standing a few feet away from me, an empty bottle of painkillers in her hand. I looked at her in confusion but when I saw who was standing behind her I immediately understood. The pain returned as fast as it vanished.

Father.

“I am sure you've gotten enough rest. You should go down in a few minutes, I wouldn't like to repeat myself” His rich baritone echoed through the walls of my room.

I nodded weakly, still too exhausted to speak. I watched as father and mother went downstairs. When the front door slammed shut I finally managed to get up. I held on to the edge of my bed as if my life depended on it. Every movement made me wince in pain and my eyes watered. I needed food and sleep badly. I sighed heavily and walked out of my room.

As I stared down at the stairs, I knew I would be dead before I made it down. So I decided to make it quick. But the fear of Father’s wrath sent me down the stairs, wincing and gritting my teeth every few steps.

I was a panting mess by the time I reached the bottom step. I leaned heavily on the wall as my whole body protested at moving. The sight of Father waiting for me made me hesitate for a brief second but then he turned around and his gaze locked onto mine, sending chills through me. He walked towards me and I froze my heart racing.

He stopped in front of me and I stared at him nervously, afraid to say anything in case he got mad again. Father reached for the collar of my shirt and lifted me slightly, forcing me to meet his eyes, making my breath hitch.

“I'M SORRY!” I screamed, tears streaming down my face as I struggled against him. His fingers dug painfully into my collar and I cried out in pain, my voice breaking.

I don't know what I was apologizing for.

“Shut up! I'm not interested in hearing your pathetic excuses!”

Father snapped pushing me down roughly, the sudden weight almost making me collapse.

“Useless” he spat angrily before walking away.

It was one of my labels, it usually ran from “Useless, worthless, slut, filthy slut” and a lot more, it all had to do with their mostly unpredictable mood.

I dragged myself to go on with the chores, there was no sign of Mother.

But it didn't mean much anyway, she was probably just spending the rest of the day with some friends . She did tend to keep company with a lot of them and will always return drunk after all.

I continued with the laundry, trying to distract my mind from the thoughts of what was going on outside. I threw the dirty clothes into the basket that sat in the middle of the floor. I picked it up slowly, making sure not to bump my head and fall flat on my ass once again. The soreness of my body remained that day but later on, I was shocked to see Mother holding an ointment and standing in the middle of my room.

I sprang out of bed immediately, unsure of what I had done wrong this time. I didn't even get a chance to ask though, Mother grabbed my arm.

“Come”

With a start I followed her through the dim hallways that led to her room and into the bathroom. She opened the medicine cabinet and removed one vial of green liquid while I stared in disbelief.

“I said to come here so I can help you” Mother hissed, grabbing the band aid and placing it across one of my ribs. Her eyes bore into me and I looked away immediately, feeling exposed. She then began to apply the ointment to each of my bruises and it stung like hell.

I whimpered as the last bruise was covered, the pain radiating through my ribcage.

“There, now let's wash these, I need to change the dressing tomorrow anyway” Mother said and stood up abruptly. Without another word she walked out of the bathroom and I heard the door slam shut.

I couldn't imagine what she was up to, it didn't feel right, it felt like an alien had possessed her and was controlling her actions.

But I went to sleep that night feeling a little bit better knowing that at least the pain was gone. I thought that was her way of apologizing, I was guessing she wanted us to get better.

No. She was just speeding up my healing process for the next man, and the next, and the next, and many more to come, an endless circle.

Breathe Alina that's all in the past now. I told myself several times. As I struggled to breathe.

Someone touched me and I turned to kick that person right in the balls.

“WHAT THE FUCK Alina!”

Alina’s POV “And she lives” Those were the first words that rolled out of Sebastian’s mother’s lips once Sebastian pushed me in through the door and let it slam behind him.I winced at the sound as I looked around. His parents and sister’s faces held no love, not even a hint of affection. In fact, they just looked like they’d seen better days. They made it clear as usual that I wasn't welcome and I didn't want to be. “Very generous of you, Mother” Sebastian’s voice reeked of sarcasm as he leaned down with a sneer. “You really think I would give up my wife?”I cringed away from his sneer. “Sebastian…” I tried to reach out for his hand but he moved his body away from mine, so I gave up and slumped my hands against my sides instead. The room was so cold I could see my breath as his mother continued, “You might have had your pick of the women in town. But then, I suppose, there’s always one who isn’t worthy of being yours.”Sebastian stood still for a moment before saying, in a very

Alina’s POV“What if it was him?” that voice echoed in my mind, causing me to look up and look around me, I was alone and lost in my thoughts.I shivered involuntarily.I didn't understand where that question even came from. But the voices in my head were active. “Alina, are you even listening to me?” One snapped, pulling further into my thoughts.“Who?” I asked, confused. I knew who it asked for, and I knew what it was talking about but trust me when I say no one wanted their fears to be confirmed.“That’s what I was wondering” another sighed. “What if it was ” it repeated its question. I could imagine the voice as that of a lean woman, staring at me with crossed her arms and warm amber eyes piercing through the bottom of my soul and trying to figure me out but I looked away immediately. The hair in my arms stood involuntarily at the mention of his name, causing my whole body to tense up. I remembered the last time. I was giving him more power than necessary. He still managed to b

Sebastian’s POV “What is this madness?” One of the men yelled, he was staring at me with cold icy eyes, and his accent was heavy.“What does it look like? Be patient and watch.” I responded calmly, although I really wanted to tear them into pieces. When the video finished playing, they both turned to me, faces white as paper, their mouths agape. I could have sworn that their hearts skipped a few beats when the video played the first time. Then one of them looked at the other, he gave him a slight nod as if he had just completed some kind of mission. The one called Pierre cleared his voice. “What do you want?”he asked. He didn't seem so confident now. In fact he seemed downright scared. But what was there to be afraid of, he thought. I’m not going to kill you or anything, so calm down. Calm down.“Well, first of all, you need to answer a question for me” A smirk appeared on my face. The man looked surprised but nodded in agreement. “Did you really think you could get away with hara

Sebastian’s POV “The French men, they molested me” The words fell off her lips and I could feel the blood rushing to my face, though there was no emotion on her face. This was a mistake, I must have misheard. It couldnt be possible. All I saw was red. I was angry and sad and confused and scared. I couldn't remember why I had felt these things, but I remembered those words very cleary. Those words were engraved into my mind, they found a way to keep themselves in my memory. It played on a loop in my mind, the image of her lying broken and bleeding on the floor, the smell of her fear in my nostrils, her broken soul. It felt like I could remember her, more like sew every single detail, the sound of her screams, and every single word she screamed. The way her eyes were wide open and full of fear as she tried to call for me, I'd always hear it echoing in my mind. I could picture the men laughing while they tossed her back and forth, I could imagine them staring at her luscious body,

  • His Contract Wife Revenge   Chapter Forty-eight

Alina’s POV My vision blurred when I woke up and blinked away the dark spots in front of my eyes, trying to understand where I was, what happened. My body felt tense like a rubber band pulled taut as it stretched from my shoulders to my knees, but when I tried to move any muscle in my body it just hurt. It was like there were wires connected to all my limbs, some in my back, others in my legs and feet. It made it hard for me to sit up, so I had to lean against the bed.“Relax…” I heard a familiar voice. “Just relax. You're fine.""Mister?" I croaked out, my voice sounding raw even to my own ears. He laughed.“From Sebastian to Mister, but I will take it” he said. His voice sounded distant, like I was listening through a tunnel. “You're safe here, we're going to get you out of that position in a few minutes, just let your muscles uncoil." His warm hand rested lightly on my shoulder. “I feel trapped.”"It's okay...you're not trapped." I could hear the smile in his voice. “You ju

Sebastian’s POVShe looked so frail as she laid there in the hospital bed, her head was wrapped up in bandages and her face pale and sickly looking from her blood loss. After she stormed off at the park, I didn't go after her. I didn't expect her to go far either but soon time passed and there was no sign of Alina. So I assumed she had gone home but when I got home, she wasn't back. She didn't answer any of my calls or texts. Eventually she returned, her shoulders hung lowly in defeat but still she stood tall with a defiant tilt to her chin and a determined set to her eyes. I could still tell something wasnt right from the way her body stiffened and her gaze avoided mine. “Where have you been?” She shrugged noncommittally. “Around.” Her voice sounded like it belonged to someone else. It was quiet and flat and hollow. But the more her expression changed, the more I realized how much I hated that look on her. It only lasted a second before her facade slipped and tears fell

AlinaThe pain was immediate and excruciating but I kept myself together. I didn't cry, I didn't move, I didn't react. Not for long anyway. Alina POV"Oh God," I let out a moan I didn't feel as the man began to kiss a line down my throat, hands roaming all over my body.
