The same clearing in the woods that Marcelyn had just run past was now where she found herself.

Holy Vikings, did I just shuffle around in a ring? Argh! How the hell do I get out of here?”

Marcelyn hissed and glared around.

She walked barefoot over the dry leaves, which crunched and rustled. She looked around to see if there was a different route she could take.

She was poked in the foot by a sharp branch that pierced the skin by two inches while she was frolicking in the eastern part of the woods.

She moaned in agony and sat down to cut the branch.

As she tended to herself, barely any dark blood oozed from her feet.

She cut the lace from her stolen nightgown's hem and tied it around her foot.
