As the path to his house opened up in front of him, Nicholas slowly made his way through the bushes. He maintained the same expression, but he began to feel uneasy inside because he knew his family members would be curious as to why he didn't show up for the Thanksgiving meal. It had been a long time since she had eaten anything. Darell appeared behind her from the kitchen with a large plate of toast in his hands. The stillness in the streets was ruined by a loud honk. A bus was rapidly approaching Marcelyn from behind. Her skin was bruised as a result of her quick leap out of the way. She stood irate and continued to stare at the bus as it quickly disappeared from view. Marcelyn scoffed, "Darn these modern carriages," and padded up the road in the same direction as the "modern carriage." She appeared particularly hungry and as though she wouldn't have anything to eat that evening. From a distance, Marcelyn noticed a tall building with numerous people entering and exiting it. Additionally, there was a line of cars in front of it that had to flash red lights above them. Stretchers were quickly wheeled into the building from the vehicles. The young were-woman climbed aboard the aircraft and curled up comfortably in her seat as it took off and headed into the night. She felt something rumble under her feet, but she didn't jump because it was just the plane's familiar landing gear retracting. A second rumble was heard, but she was certain it wasn't the landing gear after slouching in her seat for another two exhausting hours.Despite the windows being closed, she felt a rush of hair rush into her face as the airplane flew quickly. She attempted to view the planet from the windows. There were structures, cities, villages, and towns that resembled miniature models. When compared to the large rivers, the forests seem like tiny plants.Many passengers were reading books of their interest or other books of their choice, while others were engrossed in magazines.
