Chapter Nineteen: Killian

My heart was in my stomach while I raced towards my house. I could feel her blood sticking to my body. I had to get ahold of Agora and see if there was a way for her to help. Most vampires would have already healed, but it seemed that Katya didn’t possess that healing power, or it was slower than usual. Maybe, she needed blood. I wonder when her last injections were. She couldn’t consume blood like a normal vampire, I knew that much, but, what if it was given to her.

I slice across my chest with an elongated claw that shifted in my hand, blood started to pour out of the gaping wound, and I turn and press Katya’s mouth to it.

“Come on Katya, drink it please,” I whisper to her, pressing her mouth to my wound. She stirred faintly but I still had to force her mouth open so blood could drain in.
