Revenge

If she had, then Aerona was a fool. He wasn't going to feel guilty for what he was planning, not now, not ever. His pack had not only lost women but men. Trusted warriors, friends and family.

The witches of Earlham were going to pay with more than their lives. With rage controlling his senses, he walked past his bedroom, and into the open meeting hall in his chambers, and sat on the only chair there, which was a throne carved out of the finest wood.

The rage was good, at least it would dull, and eventually eliminate all lingering feelings that wasn't meant to be there in the first place, he just had to find a way to eliminate the taste, her taste.

"Alpha Zayn, the Generals have been summoned. Is there anything else?" His omega asked.

"I need my wine this instant." He barked. It was really a problem, he couldn't think right if her taste still drowned his senses. This was madness.

"At once, Alpha Zayn." The omega replied and sped off his chambers.

Few seconds later his Generals began to arrive. Each bowing to him before standing in their positions, from the highest ranked Beta to the lowest ranked general. When they all gathered, fourteen of them to be exact, they waited for him to begin, but he couldn't, not yet, not when the omega hadn't returned. Hence they stood in silence and he sat in waiting, trying to calculate his next moves and plans to be discussed.

"Alpha Zayn, we have all arrived. Perhaps do you wait for someone else." One of his Generals asked.

"Carlo. I can see that." He replied with disgust not for the question but for his inability to shake off trivial things just because it was connected with a mate.

When the door of his chambers swung open, they all turned to see the omega rushing in with a tray of wine and a wine glass. They all waited in silence as he drowned the first glass down, stretched for a refill and this time, slowly took another sip. Much better.

"There is no need for a formal greeting is there?" He finally began and they all replied.

"None, Alpha."

"Good. We all know what had befallen us. How many we have lost and how we have suffered." He said and took another sip. Just thinking about the incident and how they encountered defeat in the hands of the witches of Earlham intensified his hate and strengthened his resolve.

"They do not deserve to witness another full moon." One General shouted, and in his voice pain and anger merged harmoniously.

"Their existence wiped out completely, their tales forgotten for all eternity." Another added.

"Aye, Aye, Alpha Zayn." The rest agreed.

"Good, for we will march in the next moonlight. No one not even their livestock should be left, none should remain alive. We will burn down their houses and crumble their towers. They will see, feel and witness true doom and they will beg for mercy and not have it. We have lost more, many more, than we have ever. Our friends, sisters, brothers, family. They too should feel our pain, they too should witness our wrath, they should witness our power, for we are..." He waited for their reply and in unison they all shouted.

"The Silver Crest." He nodded with their reply and continued,

And they are nothing. Ulrich was more than a warrior, a member of our pack, he was one of us, he stood, here, right here -" he pointed at the vacant spot next to him and continued.

He planned with us, drank with us and laughed with us. He was more than a warrior he was a dear friend, a brother. So was Dawn, Spidtry, Koz, and Lazroz. We lost five and more, we will make certain that they will lose everything. We will march and destroy all in our path."

He hadn't realized he had abandoned the wine as he spoke. He stood up and began to pace the room, then walked to Carlo, the fifth ranked General, for the time being. They had lost five Generals, therefore their role must be replaced by the current ones. But that matter would have to wait, until he had given back what he received a thousand folds.

Silver Crest Pack was the most prosperous and peaceful Pack across the lands and seas, all who heard their name knew of their power, above all they knew they owed no one, man, or wolf. He would make certain their name was not soiled for being merciful, he would make certain they lived up to their name, one passed down by their ancestors.

"Carlo, you are the strategist. The best was in was through the passage was we escaped through." He made sure to leave her name out, for he needed no other distractions.

"Yes, Alpha Zayn. The hidden tunnels, must have been a secret passageway only known by her people. The witch was a fool, to reveal it so easily." Carlo replied and he gritted his teeth, unconsciously but moved on.

"We will block those tunnels after we infiltrate. They could use it to try to escape. We will not allow any survivors, is that clear."

"Yes , Alpha Zayn." They all replied.

He would make sure they weep blood and the skies would weep with them as they all fall to their demise. He had not planned properly, had been careless and had underestimated their power. His decisions had cost him more than he had anticipated and he would not have it happen again.

He would make sure this time his revenge was void of faults and flaws. Together with his generals, they laid down their plans, step by step making sure every hole was covered, ever nuke invaded, every cranny taken over and every rock turned over by his warriors. This was a war, one waged against them and he was going to take it back to were it came from.
