Emma POV
Emma hung up the phone. She was hoping the phone call from Logan would have better news. She didn’t want to wait until her and Dylan’s 20th birthday to be with Logan. It was nine months away, that was too long. She paced back and forth in front of her bed, it was a nervous habit of hers, but she didn’t have any other way to work out her frustrations, so pacing would have to do. Logan said that he would try to talk to Dylan and see if there was anything that he could do to help. That wasn’t likely.
Her phone chimed, it was Logan. She couldn’t help but smile, and she instantly felt calm. She sat down on the bed and opened the message. She was still having a little trouble trying to navigate working the phone, but she would practice with it.
Get some sleep sweetheart. Don’t stress. I will figure things out. Goodnight, sweet dreams.
Goodnight and sweet dreams.
She plugged the phone up to the charger. She hoped that they could be together soon. She liked how she felt around him, the sparks that she felt every time he touched her, and the way she felt when he kissed her. Their mate bond was already so strong and she was afraid if they were apart too long, their bond would weaken. She wanted to talk to Dylan herself, but she trusted in Logan and that he would figure something out. Nine months seemed like an eternity.
She laid down on her bed and put her head on her pillow, she opened the messages on her phone and opened the picture Logan sent her. She smiled and stared at his picture until her eyes got too heavy to keep open and she drifted off to sleep.
Logan POV
Logan was sitting in his office when Nathan came through the door.
“Ok, now tell me what is going on.” Nathan said.
Logan sighed, trying to figure out the best way to explain the situation.
“I found my mate.” Logan started.
“Really! That’s awesome dude!” Nathan interrupted him before he could finish.
“Yeah, it is. She is absolutely beautiful. She is also Alpha David and Luna Maggie’s daughter.” said Logan.
“I didn’t know they had a daughter.” Nathan replied.
“Nobody does. They have kept her hidden on the fourth floor of their house. She isn’t allowed off her floor. They don’t want anyone to know she exists.”
“Why not?” Nathan asked.
“Because she is Dylan’s twin, and she was born five minutes before Dylan. She is the true Alpha heir, but Alpha David wants Dylan to be Alpha.”
“Wow. To keep her locked up like that just so she can’t be Alpha, that’s messed up.”
“Yeah, it is. Now I have to find a way to bring her home.”
“Why didn’t you just bring her home with you tonight?” Nathan asked.
“She is terrified of her father finding out that she was seen and that somebody knows about her now. She is scared of how pissed off he is going to be and that his plans for Dylan to take over will be ruined. She wanted to wait until Dylan officially took over as Alpha. Once he takes over, she will be free to go wherever she wants and do whatever she wants. We thought it would be sooner than their birthday, but now it’s going to be nine months away unless we can figure something else out.” Logan explains.
Nathan runs his fingers through his blonde hair and just shakes his head, trying to help his Alpha think of a solution to bring his Luna home. He walks over to the chair in front of Logan’s desk and sits down.
“Well, I say we just go get her. I mean technically it doesn’t even matter if she was born first and was supposed to be the Alpha or not. She is your mate, and since apparently neither one of you rejected the mate bond, she is our Luna, not their Alpha.” Nathan says proudly, as if he was the genius that solved the problem at hand.
“I thought of that too, and I told Emma that. But she is still scared of her father and what he is going to do when he finds out. The fact that she is so scared of him really worries me. I won’t do anything that she is uncomfortable with, I don’t want her stressed out and scared. You should have seen how panicked she got when I told her I was going to have you bring the charger up. I’m hoping to talk to Dylan alone and maybe come up with a solution. By the way Emma talks, he doesn’t like the fact she is kept locked up either.” Logan says.
“Do you really think that he will help? What if he just goes back and tells their dad?”
“Emma trusts him so therefore I do too.”
“Ok boss, whatever you want to do, I am on board with.” Nathan says. “But I still say we go get her and bring her home, and if Alpha David tries anything to hurt her, he will have to go through all of us to get to her.”
“Yes, he would, but I also don’t want to start a war. She loves her family and doesn’t want that. Besides, the Shadow Moon pack is the second largest pack and our strongest ally. I don’t want to jeopardize that relationship.”
Nathan nods his head and walks out of the office. Logan follows him out after a few minutes and headed up to his room. His house was a little bigger than Alpha David’s. Logan’s house had five floors. His room and a small office comprised the second floor, but his main office, which had a small library, was on the first floor. His Beta had the third floor, and his Gamma had the fourth floor. Staff lived on the first floor. The fifth floor was used for guests.
He reached the second-floor landing and looked around. There were several rooms on this floor. His room which was the main master bedroom with a huge master bathroom, a room fit for an Alpha and his Luna. There was a smaller office which will be the Luna’s office since his office was on the main floor. There were also several other bedrooms which would be for their kids, and a couple of bathrooms. The upper floors were pretty much set up the same way.
He walked in his room and went over to a little bar area he had set up and grabbed a bottle of whisky and poured some into a glass. He went over to the bed and sat down and opened the picture of his mate, his beautiful Luna. He couldn’t wait to get her home. And he was not going to wait nine months to have her in his home and in his bed. He drank the whiskey in one swallow and sat the glass down on the table beside the bed. He stripped off his clothes and threw them in a pile on the floor and crawled under the covers and slipped off to sleep.

Alessio POV He stood on the rocks, watching the sun beginning to creep up over the horizon. Brilliant rays and hues of red and orange cascaded across the sky. Anger coursed through him. His blood was boiling. How did they not realize that she was pregnant before now? This changed everything. His whole plan was shot to shit now. The witch would be here at any moment. He needed her to take care of the problem, one way or another. He turned on his heel and headed towards the pier. He stood at the edge, watching the waves crashing against each other in the distance as the storm raged around them. The storm he felt inside of him, tearing him apart like he was a rickety wooden boat trying to weather a hurricane. On one side, it was calm, peaceful, bright. The other side was hell on earth. A storm that raged on for miles and miles with torrential rainfall that just left you cold and wet. A circle of light caught his attention. Small at first, growing bigger ever so slightly. His hear
Alessio POV “Don’t worry brother, they will pay for it. They wanted you to be their King so you would go to war for them. Then made ran us out of our home afterwards. They used us to fight a war that had nothing to do with us.” Sebastian said. “I wasn’t completely innocent. I let the power of being King go to my head. I liked the power of it.” Alessio said regretfully. “If they hadn’t involved us in their war, you would have never been King for it to go to your head.” Sebastian said. “It doesn’t matter, the past is the past and we can’t change it. All we can do now is look to our future.” Alessio said. Sebastian got up from his chair and walked over to Alessio and put his hand on Alessio’s shoulder. “Our future where we will be home.” Alessio covered Sebastian’s hand with his own. “Yes, we will be.” Alessio picked up his coffee and took a drink. As soon as he did, he spit it back out. Coffee spewed everywhere. It had gotten cold. “Glad I wasn’t still sitting in that cha
Alessio POV He woke to the sun shining through the windows. Rubbing the back of his hand over his eyes, wiping the sleep out of them, he sat up in the huge king-size bed. Emma was lying next to him, snoring softly. She still hadn’t woken up from the sedative, but it should be wearing off at any time. A low growl rumbled from his chest as he saw part of the mark on her neck, peeking out of the collar of her shirt. Soon it would be his mark on her neck instead. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and placed his bare feet on the cold wooden floor. He felt completely rested, he hadn’t slept this good in years. Today marked a new beginning for him and his pack. And his Queen. Today, they all began their new lives. He was excited to start the day, a feeling he hadn’t had in a long time. It felt good to feel something else besides anger and resentment. He still had those feelings, but they weren’t at the forefront anymore. He looked behind him at his sleeping Queen and he felt lik
Alessio POV Alessio leaned against the car, his patience wearing thin. He was anxious to be on the road. Where the fuck are you? He mind linked Sebastian, letting his impatience sound through his voice. Almost there, sir. Well hurry the fuck up. Yes, sir. Still leaning against the car, Alessio crossed his arms over his chest. His foot tapping, showing his aggravation, when finally, he seen his pack approaching. “About fucking time. Let’s go.” He snapped, tossing the bag of keys to Sebastian to distribute. “You ride with me.” He told Sebastian. “Yes, sir.” Sebastian said, nodding his head once. Alessio climbed in the driver’s seat and put the key in the ignition. The car purred to life. Only a few things in this life gave Alessio satisfaction, the sound of his favorite car’s engine was one of them. Once Sebastian climbed into the passenger seat and shut the door, he put the car in drive and pressed the gas pedal to the floor. The car sped off, gravel flying out fro
Alessio POV They had been hiding, watching, for two days now. Waiting. “Sir, something isn’t right.” Sebastian said. “I know.” he said curtly. They had watched the patrols go by all day yesterday, and today, not one single patrol. He didn’t need his Beta to tell him something that was obvious. “They know we are coming. They are pulling their guards back, they are getting ready to fight.” Alessio told him. “But how? How did they know we were coming?” Sebastian asked. “I don’t know. Cut the fence, let’s go.” Alessio commanded. “But sir-” Sebastian began. Alessio grabbed him up by his throat and squeezed. “If you value your life, you will do what the fuck I say and not question me again.” Alessio threw Sebastian against a tree. Sebastian landed on his knees, clutching his throat. Coughing and gasping for air. “Yes sir.” he said hoarsely. “Do it.” Sebastian said, turning to the guy holding the metal cutters. Once the hole was big enough, they crossed the fence and into Silv
