Chapter Seventeen

Kane had managed to stop Cherry going after Mia. He knew that Jacob was starting to see sense and he needed to talk to Mia alone.

Cherry sat down on the bench and was about to go back inside for a drink but was interrupted by Abigail.

“There is no way she is his mate!” Abigail sighed causing Cherry to turn around and scowl.

“What and you are?” Dana laughed.

Abigail did not seem to impressed with their sarcasm towards her. She was not going to argue with them. She decided that they were not worth her energy.

Cherry could not stand the girl. She watched her walk off and clenched her fists. Danielle noticed her friends frustration.

“Mia will be fine.” She told her. Cherry looked up and smiled. She gazed into the forest and sighed. She hoped that her friend was ok.

“You can’t fight the mate bond. They need to get on with it.” Selene said handing her a bottle of water which she took gratefully.
