Aria’s POV

Her expression softened.

I looked down at my hands.

“Before Kael and I got married, he used to care about me. He was kind to me, Mother. He made me feel as though I mattered to him.” My throat tightened at the memory. “I thought that if I married him, things would only get better. I thought that because he had cared about me before, he would continue to care about me afterward.”

I paused, fighting back tears.

“But then Vivienne came into the picture, and everything changed.”

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   The Villainess is Gone, But Not Forgotten

Aria’s POVA collective gasp swept through the courtroom.I looked at Silas, who appeared just as startled as I felt. I had never heard of that punishment before.Elder Marcus seemed to anticipate the questions rising among the gathered pack members."The Moonshroud Torment is an ancient punishment reserved for those whose crimes are considered too grave for an ordinary execution, yet whose lives cannot be spared without dishonoring the victims they have wronged."His voice was grave as he continued."The condemned will be placed under a binding curse that prevents death from claiming them prematurely. Their bodies will remain alive, but the curse will slowly drain their strength, leaving them to endure years of unrelenting pain and suffering. Their bodies will weaken, their healing abilities will diminish, and the agony will continue until the curse finally releases its hold on them."A cold feeling settled in my stomach.Years.Beatrice wouldn't die today, tomorrow, or even in the c

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   The Judgement

Aria’s POVThe following morning, I woke up with a dull ache in my abdomen, but it wasn't anything like the pain I had experienced after Beatrice stabbed me.After taking the medication prescribed by the doctor and eating breakfast, I tried to settle into a comfortable position on the bed.I had hoped to spend the day resting, but there was something I couldn't bring myself to ignore.Beatrice's final hearing. It was the last day of her trial, and by the end of it, the court would deliver her sentence.Mother, Silas, and Lucian were all against me attending."You've only just returned from the hospital," Mother reminded me as she stood beside my bed. "You need to rest, not sit in a courtroom for hours.""I'll be fine.""You can't keep saying that whenever you want to do something that could harm you.""I know my limits, Mother.""Then act like it," Silas interrupted. "You nearly died yesterday…""Not yesterday," I corrected weakly. He gave me a flat look."You know what I mean."Lucia

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   Back Home

Aria’s POVThe days passed quietly, and after spending a week in the hospital, I was finally discharged.During those days, I never saw Kael apart from the day I regained consciousness and we had that conversation.Although Mother had told me he came to visit and often asked about my recovery, he never came into my ward.Maybe the words I had said to him had hurt him deeply, and he was reflecting on his actions over the past years.Maybe he was too ashamed to face me. Or perhaps he had finally realized that his presence was no longer something I could easily accept.I didn't know which was true, and I didn't have the strength to find out.As for Lucian, he stayed by my side and made my recovery as comfortable as possible. Before I could ask for anything, he seemed to know exactly what I needed. Whenever I needed to use the restroom, he would help me out of bed and guide me there, moving carefully so he wouldn't hurt my still-tender abdomen. He never complained, not even once.Sometime

I wasn't the woman he sat with inside the garden and discussed the future with. I became someone he resented, someone he tolerated because he had no choice.”My voice broke.“And I kept wondering what I had done wrong. I kept thinking that if I had been prettier, more interesting, or more like her, maybe he wouldn't have changed.”“Oh, Aria…”I shook my head, unable to stop the words from spilling out.“Wh

Aria’s POVMy heart skipped a beat.I looked down at our joined hands, suddenly unsure of what to say.Sophia gave my fingers a reassuring squeeze.“You don't have to tell me who the father is, sweetheart. I already know it's Kael.”I remained silent.“Those babies are his,” she continued gently. “And I know that whatever happens between the two of you, he will always be connected to you through them.”She paused, studying my face.“But what are you going to do, Aria?”I lifted my eyes to hers.“What do you mean?”“I mean, are you going to stay with him after everything that has happened?”My lips parted, but no words came out.Sophia didn't rush me. She waited patiently, giving me time to gather my thoughts, but the truth was that I didn't know what to tell her.Was I going to stay with Kael? The question had been haunting me since I woke up.Part of me still loved him. I couldn't deny that, no matter how hard I tried. He was the man I had married, the father of my children, and the

Aria’s POVLucian and I were still in the room, gisting, when the door opened, and Sophia walked in with Silas beside her.“Aria!”Her face lit up the moment she saw me awake, and before I could say anything, she hurried to my bedside.“How are you feeling, sweetheart?” she asked, taking my hand in hers. “Are you still in pain? Has the doctor come to check on you again? Have you eaten anything?”I couldn't help but smile at how she kept bombarding me with questions and she wouldn’t even give me the room to answer any. “I'm fine, Mother. The doctor came earlier, and he said I need to rest.”“Of course you need to rest.” She shook her head gently. “After everything you've been through, you shouldn't be worrying about anything else.”She brushed a few strands of hair away from my forehead, her eyes lingering on my face as though she still couldn't believe I was awake.Silas approached the other side of the bed, and a relieved smile spread across his face.“You gave us quite a scare, Ari
