Brett POV Willow was exhausted. I tucked her in for an afternoon nap whilst I told her I was going to time some time to catch up on emails. I really needed to speak with Jeremy, so I turned my phone on and was shocked at the number of notifications coming through. Jeremy, Thomas, Alicia, my Dad’s beta Aiden, my packs links from up north and even Louis, had all tried to call me. I sighed, I didn’t even want to listen to the voicemails just yet. I was enjoying my bubble with Willow and didn’t want it to burst. I looked at my test messages. The most recent was from Jeremy this morning. “I’m sorting it.” Sorting what I thought. I had a message from a number I didn’t know. I opened it to find a picture…a picture of Alicia. Fuck! I phoned Jeremy right away. “Brett?” “What the fuck is going on?” I roared down the phone. “Where is Alicia?” “We don’t know yet, we are working on it. I’m following the leads. Where is Willow?” “She’s fine Jer, I said I’d keep her safe and I have.” “She ne
Willow POV I wake up before Brett who is nestled into my neck and gripping my waist rather tightly. Apparently, Alphas are possessive even in their sleep. I slowly untangle myself from his embrace and place my pillow there so he can keep on sleeping…hugging the pillow. I giggle to myself. Bless him! I get dressed in some sports attire and head downstairs to make a morning hot drink. I haven’t trained in days and I could hear Thomas in my head moaning that I need to keep up my strength. I miss him! Something I wouldn’t admit to Brett but Thomas had become a good friend and I felt bad at how I left things. Perhaps I should give my parents a call, check on things. I turn my mobile on for the first time in days. So many notifications. I ignore them. I don’t really want to be shouted at from my family for running away so I call Lizzie. She doesn’t answer so I try Samantha, they live together so she will know just as much as Lizzie. “Willow?” Sam greets me questionably. “Hi Sam, how a
Ashley POVBrett wasn’t taking the bait but I knew Willow wouldn’t let an innocent go to harm. My rogue team from Manchester, that were holding Alicia, drove down with her in a van to meet me just outside of Oxford. It was early morning and I had decided to run in my wolf form in the cover of darkness. I hadn’t slept but I knew our vehicles were being tracked and I didn’t want spying eyes on my route. I reached a deserted car mechanics when I then banged on the shutters. I was let in and the smell of rogues was a lot to take in, it was a damp dog smell. I usually meet them outside in fresh air but I needed to keep Alicia a secret still. No one knew I was behind the kidnap plot and I planned to keep it that way. My Beta Rick was back at the pack keeping an eye on the witch Cara and I didn’t trust anyone enough to have a Delta. “She’s in here boss.” Sean the rogue pack leader informed me whilst passing me some clothes. He was good at getting shit done. I had offered him a place in my
Brett POVI’ve been walking for an hour or 2 just to cool off before heading back to the cottage. I wasn’t used to people disobeying me and Willow was an incredibly strong character. Even with the bindings I couldn’t believe the amount of resistance she channelled when I used my alpha command on her. I hated using it on her, but she needed to understand that I am not a push over. I could feel her worry through the bond, worry no doubt about Alicia and what that meant for us. Perhaps I needed to go back for a short while to support Jeremy. Help find Alicia. Willow is right. She shouldn’t be put in danger because I found my soul mate. My phone starts to ring in my pocket. The caller ID says Jeremy so I immediately answer it. “Jer?” “Is Willow with you?” “Not right now, no.” I shamefully admit. “Why, where the fuck is she?” He yells.“Calm down Jer, she is back at the cottage. I’m just giving her some space.”“Why would she need space….what did you do?” “I used my alpha command on
Jeremy POV “I want to go back to university!” Lizzie shouts at me in my office. The office which was Dad’s but I’ve taken over it unofficially. Dad still isn’t well and the worry about Willow now in hiding wasn’t helping his heart. “No it isn’t safe. We’ve been over this angel.” “Jeremy I was just as safe there as I am here and online lectures don’t have the same impact on me. Please Jeremy?” she sits on my lap at my desk. “Huh?” She plants a kiss on my lips. Then on my mate mark which makes me tingle, “can’t we come to some compromise?” “No Lizzie, I know your compromises. The first chance you get and you will allude my security detail.” She huffs and jumps off my lap as quickly as she sat on it. My phone rings “Yes?” I answer. “Alpha it’s Leo.”I sigh, looking at Lizzie who is raising an eyebrow at my tone to my men. “Hi Leo…what’s up?”“Everything is fine but we had rogues trying to get to Samantha.”“What?!” I stand up abruptly. “They are dead…but they had a note. They cl
Willow POV We’d been here for over 2 weeks now and I was starting to lose my mind. Brett was really struggling with the lack of pack knowledge and I felt incredibly guilty that he was here with me and not with his pack. I had told him countless times to go and I would wait here. He then would say he wasn’t leaving me. I would then suggest going with him and he would argue that it wasn’t safe for me right now. We sparred each other every day. I couldn’t beat Brett at all. He had a very powerful wolf and my bindings slowed me down. Lugh would pop in every other day to bring us groceries and update us with what he new. I was restless that his sister was wasting our time and even though I hadn’t met her yet, she was starting to irritate me. Today was 14th December, 1 week before the winter solstice. I missed my family, friends and the pack. I just wanted to go home now. I was deflated and didn’t really care any more. I didn’t share this with Brett, I was happy to be with him but my mi
Orla POV I could sense the power binding Willow. It was of a coven strength. I knew exactly which coven. I had arrived here later than expected. I had been visiting my witchcraft links to strengthen alliances and gather information. She was younger than I expected and judging by her running, in a lover’s tiff. Lugh had done well with his protection spell…but judging by his face when Willow hit the barrier, he didn’t expect quite the reaction it caused. He seemed to care for this girl. He hadn’t been the same since we left our original coven and I worried I was taking him down a path he shouldn’t be following. The Alpha Wolf picked his mate up and raced back to the house placing her upstairs on the bed. “Help her, she can’t heal.” He looks to Lugh with panic in his eyes. Lugh whispers an incantation that allows wounds to heal faster. I raise an eyebrow to him and he scowls at me. I walk out of the room and down the stairs to start making a remedy for Willow for when she wakes u
Willow POV “Remove it!” “Pardon?” Lugh’s sister Orla said to me. “I want it gone!” I demand. “No!” She responds coldly. “No?” I stand up. “Wils what are you talking about?” Brett holds my arm. “The magic. I want it gone. I’m done. I’m done being a puppet. I want it gone now!” I scream before collapsing into Brett’s arms and sobbing into his chest. He strokes my hair softly to comfort me.“I know baby, I know.” “Who is this Cara?” Brett asks. “She is from our original coven, our family pack if you will.” Orla answers. “She is working with Ashley?” “Mmm it would seem so.” Orla nods.“Why is your family coven attacking my mate? Brett growls. Orla sighs and closes her eyes as she places her hands on the table. “Our parents were the head witch and warlock of the coven. Our coven was the most respected in the country, very influential. Our parents passed when we were young. We were 7 at the time. Obviously too young to take over the coven. So our Uncle became regent until we
