Matthew came back to the dining room alone, looking around. “Where’s Alpha Alex?” He asked.

I shrugged and looked around as well. He left the room without telling me where he was going, so I didn’t know where he could possibly be in this big house.

“I don’t know, he didn’t say,” I told him. “But I’m sure that he’ll be back soon,”

“Okay. Can you tell him to come and meet me when he’s back. I’ll be in my study. It’s in the hallway to the right, on the third door,” He informed me, walking briskly.

I nodded. After a while, I went to the living room and found Sara sitting on one of the couches dejectedly.

I wondered why. I barely saw her at the coronation, so why was she in this mood?

“Hey,” I greeted, sitting beside her on the cream colored couch.

“Hey,” she responded without feeling.

“What’s wrong? I didn’t even see you during the coronation and at the party. Did something happen?” I asked worriedly. It was odd seeing her this quiet.

“More like, what didn’t happen,” she muttere
