“Alpha Hansel!” Jeff called as he rushed to approach me beside my car. “I almost forgot to give you this,” he said with a smile as he handed me a small brown wooden parcel. As I opened it, my eyes exclaimed in awe.

“The moonstone,” I mumbled in oblivion while I glanced at Elle who was at the other side. She was just as surprised too but she chose to say nothing regardless.

“Why are you giving me this?”

“After you told me about what you were looking for in Moonfrost forest, I realized I had one. I got it long ago from a shop mainly because of its aesthetics but looking at it now, you seem to have a more important use for it. So why not,” he explained.

“Jeff, this is too precious. I can’t take it.” I tried handing it back to him but he refused vehemently.

“I want you to have it, Alpha Hansel.”

“Obviously you’re not giving this out just for free, what’s the catch?”

“Let‘a just say I want you to owe me a favour. Maybe one day, I’ll need your help.”
