“So what have you got for me? Can I go home already?”. Richard asked his lawyer impatiently.
“I’m very sorry Mr Gilbert but you have been denied bail.” The lawyer told him regretfully.
“What?! Why?”. He cried.
“You’re being charged with first degree murder and theft.” The lawyer responded.
“How…. How did the evidence get into the hands of the police?.” Richard wondered. “The only other person I told apart from my wife was…” His voice trailed off as it hit him who the traitor could be. “Malachi Ernest.”

Five days later Raine heard the shocking but not quite shocking news of Malachi’s death.
