FOUR.

Falling to her death was nothing like Sonny had imagined. Just when she saw herself about to crash to the concrete, she wished she could fly.

Glorious; as Luce had called them, glorious wings were released from her tattoos. Each stroke that peeled of her skin became a feathery part of what was opening up from her body. The original mark from her back tore threw her causing her a little pain, nothing she couldn't handle. Now in full bloom, her wings, they were big and of grey colour. She flapped them hard and they carried her high into the sky. She screamed with excitement.

For fuck sake she could fly.

Looking at her grey wings, Luce's malicious smirk turned into an angry frown.

They are just grey? he wondered.

Yes!

They were grey meaning that a part of her held some goodness within. They coloured themselves depending on the purity of her heart and goodness of her soul. Goodness was not in his vocabulary. It had been the same trouble in the previous life.

This time, if he was to use his five descendants, he needed all of them in their darkest minds. And that was just what he was going to do. After all he was the devil himself.

He started fishing in his mind for ways to colour black his first descendant of the fallen. Then he remembered the other one in his cupboard.

He grabbed and dragged Garvin's unconscious body and dumped it on a chair. He placed his left hand over Garvin's unconscious body:

"De somnos tibi; vivifica O vos aquae de terra?" Slowly, Garvin comes back to consciousness. He first examines his surrounding. He stops dead when he catches a glimpse of the evil angel who had compelled him into a deep slumber.

"Did you know that while you slept, all the waters of the world became still as lakes. The rivers stopped running and people where starting to talk." Luce said as he made rounds over Garvin's petrified being.

"If you are this worried because of your beautiful car, don't worry, it's still in perfect tact."

Garvin managed to spit out a few words, "what do you want from me?"

"Why do you all ask that but in the wrong way!" He said as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

With the speed of light, Luce raced over to Garvin's stand, pinning him hard on the chair and towering himself over him,

"Why do y'all gotta think I need something from you little sinners!" he hissed through greeted teeth. "It is: What you-need-from-me and not the other way round."

Just as Garvin is about to open his mouth and speak, a girl with huge wings landed triumphantly inside the lair, with so much excitement,

"I know I nearly died at first but Luce this is amazing! I had no idea I could do that..." She froze in her steps as her eyes landed on a beyond shocked Garvin whose judging eyes were glued on her; precisely, her wings.

"You have wings!!!" he muttered at first, as if unsure if his sight sense was still in tact. He blinked a few times as if it would change a thing; but nothing changed. "You have wings!!!" he said again but this time with more certainty than the first time. Sonny flexed her wings with pride, a small grin playing on her face. At least now, she wasn't trying to hide anything. She was embracing herself, judged or not.

"Wait!!! I know you! I have seen you around campus!" her cheeks flushed and her wings took a lighter shade of grey.

A furious vein found its way on Luce's head as he watched her sickening display of affection. His horns popped out on his forehead and his skin turned into a frightful dark red shade.

The two had not yet noticed.

"Yeah! I remember you! You are Dr. Ferdson's daughter. The one who's always wearing the baggy shirts. She was asking about you in class today?"

"Shut up!!!" The shade in her wings faded a little to dark, "She is not my mother and would never be! I don't care about her stupid class; not anymore" she smirked proudly and maliciously looking back at the huge pile of feathers on her back.

"Are you two done?" Luce broke in taking back his normal human form with an excess of tattoos all over his body.

"Uhm Luce? why is he here?"

"He is part of the equation!" the evil angel replied wearing a bored expression.

"You know this guy?" Garvin jumped in.

"Yeah! sort of." Sonny replied.

"Wait! what is going on here? My lecturer's daughter has wings, and is working with..." Garvin turned to Luce, who interrupted before he could finish,

"The devil? Isn't that what you were going to say? If only you knew!" He finished with a malicious smirk,

"But seriously now Luce, Why is Garvin Maurice here? what is all this?" as she approached Luce, her wings clapped themselves softly back unto her skin as tattoos.

"Wow! Dude! That is so cool!" he exclaimed.

"I know right!" Luce followed, " Now your turn Percy Jackson! Do some water trick for us." He threw himself back into an old broken sofa.

"I will not do anything until you tell me why I am here!" Garvin retorted. Luce bit into a blood red apple given no attention to the two.

A few seconds of uncomfortable silence swung by before Sonny finally raised her hands in surrender.

"That's it! I give up! I'm going home if he's not going to talk." She turned around but stopped immediately he started talking,

"The story goes thus..." Luce said leaning against the  chair's arm, fiddling with a crucifix, "Seven angels like I had been got horny and fucked the creations of the father. Children of extraordinary powers were born. chaos befell his beautiful garden and to save it from complete destruction, he destroyed it himself; with everyone and everything on it. Including the sons of the fallen. But the few he chose to be alive and replenish the earth again, the sons of Noah, their wives, were saved by marital duty, overseeing the fact that they to had nephilim blood running trough their veins. Millenniums later, today, I sit in the presence of two of those descendants whose ancestors are believed to have been destroyed a very long time ago in the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah, in the drowning of the earth; bla, bla, bla-"

"So what are you saying? that we are some kind of descendants of angels?" Sonny asked as she threw over her shoulder her baggy shirt.

"Fallen angels." Luce corrected, "You are the Sons of the Fallen." Luce said. Sonny frowned,

"I'm a girl." She retorted,

"The Creator never created girls or boys, he never fed five thousand men and women. Men and sons of men are they that filled his garden and you are the end of it all. But-" He paused, "Only after you are complete."

"Complete? There's more of us with powers? Where then are the rest?" Garvin asked,

"One in Paris, One in Aruba and One in Uganda!!!" Sonny replied, absentmindedly. She frowned, confused of how she knew that. Luce just watched her actions and muttered some incoherent jumbo to himself.

"So what? We're villains? Or something like that?" Sonny asked,

"We? No! I am not a part of this. I do not want to be a part of this." Garvin picked up his jacket from the floor and threw it on. He walked to the door and was about to knock it down to leave when a vision played in front of his eyes.

He watched as his uncle brutally murdered his best friend Anabelle. Thunder roared and lightening stroked as extreme emotion; intense agony overtook him. Oceans of tears ran down his face as he watched her struggle to get out of his grip; and the scene only got more horrific as it progressed.

"She discovered his little secret and he just murdered her for it." Sonny said, "Wait! why do I know that?" she turned to Luce who just shrugged. Like it was all a unknown to him.

"What the hell is this?" Garvin grabbed Sonny by the arm harshly, and yelled, "What truth?"

Sonny tried to resist whatever it was that was compelled her to see and say this things but the fight was to painful for her to bear.

"He's been lying to you. He fortified the documents to your inheritance. You were supposed to be having them all already but he changed it and she found out!!!" She said wincing at the pain of the pressure his hands had on hers, and the power of Luce's restraints on her. "Why the hell do I know all this?" she yelled again.

His agony turned to anger, extreme rage.

One last time he watched as Anabelle struggled with her last breath and the only thing that came out was his name. Once again with all his freaking powers, he couldn't save someone he loved from the real evil.

He balled his hands into fists, dripping water;

"Where's he?" he hissed under his breath.

An image of the fat bald man flashes in front of Sonny's eyes, giving her his exact location.

"Back at your house." Sonny told Garvin who shot through the doors and disappeared.

Maybe the real evil was him! he thought to himself as he drove for his parents mansion.

Back at the devil's lair, Sonny turned to Luce,

"Why did I know all of those things and what are those  vision flashes? Why does it hurt when I resist it? Please give me answers,"

Luce swiped his left hand before her eyes and a new vision appeared, the original vision. Sonny stared in mortification,

"Wait? she's not dead! Why did Garvin see otherwise? I can see her there reading; why did Garvin see otherwise and why did I just tell him lies?"

"Because I made him see what I wanted." That was when it hit her.

This man was the sneakiest, trickiest and most deceitful creature in the universe and he had just played them.

"You did that? It was all you! You lied!!!" she yelled.

"Am I hit the real evil here."

"You just sent him on a wrong track. Garvin could seriously kill his uncle now! You must stop him!"

"Why would I do that?"

"But Annabel is alive!"

"And you will kill her. Go now my little sinner and make your father proud."

It was spell. He'd ordered. At once her eyes turned dark; she immediately spun to the window and jumped back out, releasing her wings and flying away,

"And it is still just the beginning!!!" He murmured.
