Just a few steps and I'd be free, the thought had sounded simple enough. The door was supposed to be my passage to safety, outside should have lead to instant freedom. I just needed to make it a few more steps. God how I wish it would have turned out to be that easy.

Lucas had done better than good on getting us in to see the houses we had looked at online. Even now we were on our way to look at our top picks. Each house was different in its own aspect.
