AUTHOR’S POV

“Who are you?” Eleanor yelled as fear crawled through her, her fingers clutching tightly onto Cruz’s cloth while his arms were wrapped around her.

She could feel her heart thumping fast.

The strange man let out a long, satisfying laugh.

“If it isn't the so-called Dema. How does it feel to be here, Eleanor? Especially after knowing that you can never make it out alive.” He mocked with a slight smile on his face.

Cruz couldn't believe his eyes. He refused to comprehend why Eleanor’s neighbors would want to do anything to her.

“What the fuck do you want, Fred?” He questioned in an obviously pissed tone.

Fred twitched his lips gently.

“Soon you shall know. For now, keep walking until I tell you to stop.” He ordered, causing Cruz to clench his teeth.

“And if I don't?” He confronted him because, obviously, he couldn't afford to put Eleanor in more danger. At this point, he was more than willing to fight tooth and nail to get out of here.
