CHAPTER NINETEEN.

ELEANOR’S POV

My right hand was on his neck as he helped me outside. We could have gone upstairs, but we wanted to avoid prying eyes, so we headed toward the garden.

He placed my back against a tree, then roughed his hair as he paced up and down in front of me.

“Why did you have to get drunk? I only asked you to get a drink, not drink yourself into a stupor. Do you know how important today is to me?” He said, his cold eyes running over me.

I let out a rumble of giggles. I found the way his lips moved funny.

He twisted his lips.

“Did I say something funny?” He questioned. I shook my head in denial and bit my lower lip. My eyes were now looking down.

“Look at me when I speak!” He ordered, and I obeyed immediately, gulping down a lump of saliva the second my eyes landed back on his lips. Thoughts of him kissing me inside came back into my mind.

Was it weird that I wanted another taste of him?

As though he knew what I was thinking, he passed to look at me.
