LOGINMEGAN’S POV
The flashy cars drove into the Crescent Moon Pack, and the bodyguards got down from the first car and rushed over to the Bentley where I was seated and opened the car door. I got out of the car and stood in front of the house I once called home, staring at it now in disgust. This was once where I wished to come back to, but not anymore. I was about to enter the mansion when Austin stormed out of the house, and I halted. He rushed to me and held my wrist firmly. “Is it true? You’re pregnant?” His words brought cold shivers down my spine. Did he see the sonogram? Taking a deep breath, I questioned. “You already know?” I narrowed my eyes. “Is it my child?” He desperately inquired, and my eyes became cold instantly. “What do you mean? Whose child would it be if not yours? We were married; why would I carry another man’s child?” I glared hard at him. His mouth curved into a smug smile. “So I’m going to have an heir? For the sake of the baby, I’m willing to give you another chance. All the lies that you’ve told, I’ll overlook them. Just come home.” Anger and something indescribable rose inside of me. I stared at him with absolute disgust and then scoffed. “Wow! How generous of you! Too bad, I already had an abortion.” His eyes grew in shock and fury. “You… You what? You killed our baby?” His voice wavered, and he screamed loudly. “You had no right to make that decision, Megan. That is my child.” “Your child?” I snorted in disbelief. “You mean the one you didn’t want, Austin? Oh, please spare me that act, would you? The child is gone, and so is our union.” With that, I snatched my arm from him and headed into the mansion. He tried to grab my hand, but the bodyguards stopped him. “What is this, Megan? You dare to harass your alpha and husband with these hooligans?” He screamed, but I didn’t spare a glance. I rushed into the house and straight to the bedroom to look for the sonogram. My eyes scanned around the room as I rushed into the dressing room, and then he stormed in after a few minutes. His eyes were desperate but proud. I didn’t bother to look at him as I searched my luxury bags frantically. “You couldn’t stay away from the luxury, huh? Apologize, and maybe I’ll let you keep some of it.” He uttered, and I ignored him. He grabbed my wrist, and I glared hard at him with my eyes glistening in a bright red color. “Let go!” I hurled his hand forcefully, and he staggered backwards. His eyes grew in extreme shock and disbelief as he stared at me. Clutching to his chest, he questioned curiously. “How… How do you have so much power?” I didn’t bother replying to him as I saw the sonogram paper on the table. I hurriedly picked it up and snapped my finger; the bodyguards rushed into the room. “Pack everything… bags, clothes, jewelry… everything.” I ordered sternly, and the bodyguards did exactly as I said. Alpha Austin scoffed with a smug expression. “Are you that desperate? You can’t leave anything that I bought you? I guess you know you’re nothing without me.” I didn’t bother talking to him because I walked away with the bodyguards. Once we stepped outside, there was already a burning fire outside the mansion. I gestured to the bodyguards to throw the clothes and bags into the fire, which they did immediately. “What are you doing?” Austin asked in astonishment as he ran out of the house. “I don’t need any of these or you.” I added fearlessly as the last batch of jewelry and dresses was scattered into the fire. Austin stared astonishingly at the burning flame. Then, he stretched out a check on me. “Look, I know you’re proud, but you’re going to be stranded without me. Come on, take this and…” He was still talking when I took the check from him. “I knew you’d take it. If you don’t, how would you survive…?” He was cut short and a gasp escaped his mouth when I flung the paper into the burning fire. “I don’t need your f****** money. Not now, not ever.” I snapped to his shock. With that, I patted my stomach gently and whispered. “It’s okay, little one. We don’t have to be scared anymore. Once we leave this hellhole, we can be together without fear.” I walked down to the car, and the door was flung open by one of the bodyguards, and I hopped in after one last stare at Austin, who was too stunned to say another word. As soon as the car’s doors were shut, I picked up my purse and brought out of it a small bottle that contained a black liquid. Reluctantly, I gulped down the contents of the bottle. Instantly, my powers came back. I opened my eyes and stared at my palms that were glowing with strength in my veins. “At last. You’re letting me out now.” The white glowing wolf that appeared right next to me howled. I took a deep breath of relief. Just to be with Alpha Austin, I even sealed away my supernatural abilities as the Moon Heiress. I disguised myself as a poor, homeless omega just to be with Austin and to make him feel superior, but what did I get? Rejection. Now, I’ve realized that I shouldn’t have lost myself for him after all. From now on, I’ll learn to live for myself and for my child. The life I rejected to be with Austin, I’ve decided to embrace. “Kiara, I’m back. Not back as Alpha Austin of the Crescent Moon Pack’s housewife and Luna, but I’m back as the one the Moon Goddess chose as the Moon Heiress and the supreme Alpha King’s only child. The heir to the vast empire and wealth of the powerful royal European pack. I can’t lose myself for Austin any longer.” I said with my eyes fierce and sharp. Austin Sinclair, the loving and tolerant wife you once knew, is gone! A week later, I was set to leave the country for good. On my way to the airport, the car stopped in traffic and I stared out of the window, lost in my thoughts. Suddenly, my eyes caught the public display screen. A gasp escaped my lips when I saw a picture of me on the screen and then there was Alpha Austin. “Urgent. Alpha Austin Sinclair has issued a missing person’s alert. He is searching for his wife, Megan Prescott.” My eyes grew, and I gasped hard. Then, the microphone was handed to Austin, and he continued. “Anyone who provides information will be rewarded one million dollars” My fists clenched tight. “Austin will never get to see me and my child anymore. This pup is the Moon Goddess’s gift. I can’t let my child grow up in such a toxic environment. I have to protect my child. I can’t let Austin find me. Once I get to Europe, he’ll never find me again.”MEGAN'S POV I held onto my head as I felt my eyes closing. My vision was blurry. “What did you do to me?”He cackled mischievously and sat down with his legs crossed. “Drink wasn't the only surprise tonight. Of course, I know you would find out that the drink was drugged.” Then, he pointed at the incense burner on the table, and I breathed heavily, trying hard to keep my eyes open. “That…. I already took the antidote, so it won't affect me or anyone in this room except you, Miss Prescott.” He laughed maliciously. “You're…. You're evil and don't deserve to live.” I managed to speak because I was almost losing my voice. He roared with laughter like I had just given him a compliment. “There's no need to act tough, Miss Prescott. Don't worry, I'll go gentle with you. Look at you now.” He snapped his finger, and everyone in the room left instantly. In the twinkle of an eye, the room became empty. Bending closer to me, he ran his fingers all over my body. “You look like a helpless litt
MEGAN'S POV I sat on the chair facing the desktop on the table, lost in thought and staring blankly at the screen of the computer. Then came a faint knock on the door of my office. I didn't even realize that the door of the office was swung open until Claire tapped the table and I blinked hard, turning to her. “Y… Yes?”“Miss Prescott, are you okay? You look lost, and that's bad for work.” She chipped in. I forced a smile. “It's nothing. How may I help you?” “Oh, you don't need to help me because you'll be needing a lot of that help for yourself.” She jokingly snapped. “I mean, as the project manager, you'll have to meet with Mr. Davison. He's quite a difficult man to please. You'll need him to sign, and then we can proceed with the other facilities.” She tried to sound caring, but in the real sense, it felt like she was mocking me.“Mr. Davison?” I mouthed with my eyes rolling. “Get me an appointment with him.” I readily replied, and she smiled mischievously.Picking up the files
AUSTIN'S POVI walked into the store, and Kayla rushed to me with wide arms and a beaming smile. “Oh, Austin. How sweet of you! You spoil me so much. Thank you for buying the entire store for me. You really…” She ran her hands from my chest down to my stomach. “You really didn't have to.” Immediately, I stared hard at her with arched eyebrows. “What are you talking about?” I pushed her hand away. “Who said I bought you anything?”Megan stared at both of us with an expressionless glare as she clutched my shoulder bag. The second saleslady chuckled nervously and started. “Uhm… Alpha, you said you bought the store for your wife. I naturally assumed… I mean, I saw you both.” She pointed at Austin and Kayla while talking. “I've seen you both on TV together, so she must be your wife, right?”“This is ridiculous!” Megan shook her head as she turned to leave, but I grabbed her arm. “No, Megan. You're my wife.”For a second, she became numb. After a few minutes of silence, she turned around
ALICE'S POV I drove into the mall and parked the car in the garage. Kayla and I walked into the mall laughing and chatting. However, our laughter was cut short the moment we sighted Megan shopping in the clothes section. Kayla scoffed in disgust as she cleared her throat noisily to get Megan's attention. Megan turned slightly with her face indifferent. “Oh, look who we have here. I wonder how many times you had to spread your legs to be able to afford that.” She pointed at the dress Megan was holding. Ignoring her, Megan rolled her eyes and proceeded to take out another dress from the display shelf. Furious, Kayla grabbed her arm rudely. “Hey. I'm talking to you.” “She thinks she can buy a discount dress at a luxury store.” I taunted, staring hatefully at her. Kayla and I laughed loudly. “And pretend to be a socialite.” I added.Kayla shook her head in a feign of pity. “You know what? It's actually kind of sad. You can put lipstick on a pig, but that doesn't stop it from being a p
MEGAN'S POV My words seemed to throw Austin off balance. He stared at me, blinking rapidly. I could almost hear his heart beating fast. “What do you say, Alpha Austin Sinclair? I thought you wanted to save your little dream girl? I don't have all the time in the world.”“No, absolutely not.” He finally blurted out, to my surprise. My eyes widened in astonishment. “What?” I snapped at him.He shook his head." I said, No. I cannot give up my position in the Wolf's Joint Empire."“Then, we have absolutely nothing to talk about, Mr. Sinclair.”I turned to leave, but Kayla's voice made me turn around. She ran straight to Austin, shedding her usual false tears—nothing new.“Austin, your ex-wife is so cold-hearted. You know how important this eatery is to me, don't you? Just because she's whoring herself to the Alpha Prince, she has succeeded in getting me thrown out of here.” Kayla sniffed pretentiously. I shook my head in disgust. A drama queen will always be a drama queen. Kayla sharply
MEGAN'S POVLucien and I were seated at a fancy restaurant with the piping hot delicacies served in front of us. I sipped the cocktail slowly as he started. “How is your new job treating you? You know you could have just started as the MD?” “I don't want that yet, Lucien. I just started, and I hope it gets better.” I simply uttered, spooning the creamy pasta into my mouth. After a few seconds of silence, with a worried voice, Lucien added. “How are you coping with your ex-husband?”I choked. My gaze went from the plate to Lucien. “He's working as a partner of the company. Of course, I'm there to do my job, which is precisely what I've been doing.”“Megan, if you can't cope with him around you, do not hesitate to tell me. I'll do anything and everything to buy the shares back from him and…” Lucien was determined, but I interrupted him softly. “You don't have to. Austin and I are divorced. Whatever we had was in the past. Now, we're just co-workers or partners in a business place. That
