Sabrina woke up to the sound of birds chirping. Her lashes were sticky due to all the crying she did last night. Everything was feeling tougher than she had expected. She sat up and stretched her body. She had hardly slept. The apprehension, doubts, and fear plagued her thoughts last night, sending her sleep to a faraway land.
She didn’t have much time to make him believe her. Her heart shuddered as she wondered what would happen if she failed. She couldn’t imagine being mate with anyone other than him. Her wolf would die.
She headed out and instantly her eyes started searching for him. He was nowhere.
“ Is my lady looking for someone?” a sudden voice coming from behind made her jump in her spot. She placed a hand on her heart and turned to see Booth standing behind her with a shit-eating grin on his face.
“Did I scare you, my lady?” he asked, grinning widely.
“You almost killed me,” she rolled her eyes at him.
“Never, my lady. The Alpha King would bury me alive if I did so,” Sabrina looked away at his comment. She didn’t want to talk about it.
“When are we riding?” Sabrina asked while strolling through.
“As soon as his lord returns,” Booth stated while tailing her. Sabrina nodded.
“Where has he gone?” she attempted her level best to hide her curiosity.
“To inspect the path,” he answered. Sabrina halted when she heard the relaxing waterfall sound.
“Is there a waterfall nearby?” she asked, curiously scanning her surroundings.
“Yes, there is one not very far from here,” Booth enlightened her.
“Very well. I was thinking if I could take a bath,” she turned to him and disclosed her intention.
Booth gave a thoughtful look.
“I suppose you can, my lady,” he answered a moment later.
Sabrina gave him an appreciative smile.
…..
Some of the warriors were guarding the area as Sabrina bathed under the waterfall. She surveyed her surroundings and when she was convinced that there was no one around, she started taking off her clothes. The melodious chirp of birds was making the experience more exquisite for Sabrina. She did away with her blouse and walked into the pool that the waterfall had made. A pleasant smile grew on her lips when she dipped her toe in the pool. Step by step, she walked into the lake and halted right below the waterfall. She was hips-deep in the water.
She craned her neck, looked up the waterfall, and giggled while shaking her head as the water drops hit her beautiful face. She unbraided her beautiful wavy blond hair that reached down to her slender hips when wet. She felt free. For the first time in eighteen years, she felt free. There was no maid to look over her, nothing. She was free to do whatever she want.
Elizah had a run-in with vampires while checking the route.
The vampire king, Ajax, also had his eyes on Sabrina. He was not oblivious to the prophecy that was made 18 years ago.
The warrior of land will mate her and would become the king of the world.
Now, it was nowhere written that her mate has to be a werewolf. It could be a vampire too. They were hoping to get her before she made it to the future Alpha King.
The vampires attacked him from behind but Elizah’s reflexes were impeccable. He tackled them and ripped their throat the next moment. There were eleven vampires and just him. It would have been nearly impossible for anyone to win against them but not for Elizah. He was trained to kill. He could take twenty vampires at the same time with ease. He might not have his wolf yet but he was the deadliest among the werewolves.
He let go and the last vampire fell to the ground with a loud thud. Blood poured out from his neck in profuse. He glanced around the woods with his alert eyes and waited for more to show up but nothing happened. The bodies of vampires were strewn on the ground with their heads and body torn asunder. Once he was convinced that there was no more threat, he turned away and made his way back to the camp.
He was painted in blood from head to toe. This was the downside of killing and he hated it. He decided to take a bath first before returning to the camp. With that thought in mind, he headed towards the waterfall that he had found recently.
He walked towards the lake but stopped short when he heard a soft humming. His head shot up towards the source of that sweet melody and his heart did the double flip when he met with the unexpected sight. The sight of a woman bathing under the waterfall. She was stunning. His dilated pupil examined the beauty in front of him with a burning zeal. Her tiny shoulders, long blond hair, small waist, and wide hips. An involuntary sigh escaped his mouth as he imagined squeezing those hips and leaving his large handprints on that tiny waist while mounting her. He squinted to see through the water to have a look at her cute ass but, to his disappointment, they were covered in the water. Just who this temptress was?
Hypnotized, he prowled into the lake like a true predator he was, towards this little temptress.
Sabrina, oblivious to someone's eyes on her, continued to hum and bathe. However, soon she realised someone's presence behind her. She took a deep breath and that intoxicating scent washed over her. Her heartbeat skyrocketed at the realization. He was here.
And then her heart stopped beating altogether when his hands latched onto her bare waist. He, purposefully, gave her waist a light squeeze, prompting goosebumps to scatter all over her skin.
"Who are you?" he whispered hoarsely from behind her. Sabrina closed her eyes and gulped nervously, feeling the water beating down on her face.
A moment later, she opened her eyes and turned to face him.
Elizah's eyes widened friction when he finally saw who had robbed him off of his peace. It was her.
Sabrina craned her neck and took in his perfect face. The water turned red on touching his body. The drops of water were dripping down his hair, making him look even more irresistible. She was fascinated and so was he. She only reached to his chest and this fact gave him utter satisfaction. Whereas she looked like a fragile flower, he resembled a mountain that could easily crush her but he had no intention of crushing her, he was meant to protect her.
The water was raining down on them as they stared into each other's eyes. Elizah couldn't resist his eyes from moving down towards her soft lumps. Sabrina took a deep breath in nervousness, causing her chest to rise as he fixed his gaze on her breasts. He swallowed hard, feeling suddenly thirsty, as he stared, transfixed, at the two pink peeks adorning her soft globes.
He wondered how would they feel in his mouth. She wanted him to take them in his mouth. When he made no efforts but just kept staring greedily, Sabrina decided to take things into her own hand.
She covered his hand that was on her waist and guided it up towards her chest. His gaze flickered to meet hers. He couldn't understand what he was doing until she placed his hand on her breast. She made him squeeze her bosom. She closed her eyes, threw her head back and bit her lips when a delicious electric shock ran through her body.
He liked the way she bit her lips. It was erotic. He wanted to see it again. Watching her, he skimmed his thumb over her hardened nipple. She clutched at his bulky biceps, bit her lips, and let out a soft moan, making him hard.
Enjoying her reaction, he rolled and tweaked her nipple all the while watching her whimpering and moaning. She was a sight.
She opened her eyes and looked at him pleadingly. No words were needed to exchange to know what was she begging her. His mouth around her tits.
He couldn't fight his lust for this girl anymore. He brought his face closer to her breast and blew a hot breath on her nipple, making her legs tremble. She held tightly to his shoulder.
Elizah flicked out his tongue to lick her nipple when an animal noise from distance interrupted their moment. Elizah stilled, suddenly realising what he was doing.
What on earth he was doing? He drew away immediately and casted an accusatory glance at Sabrina. Before Sabrina could process, he pushed her away, making her stumble and fall on a rock, and turned around. Not sparing her another glance, he stormed out the water.
Tears filled her blue eyes. She dejectedly wrapped her arms around her waist while watching him go. He also feels the connection then why was he pushing her away?
After a few minutes of mopping in silence, she also walked out the lake and wore back her clothes. Elizah was already there, discussing something with his men. Everyone looked towards her when she came back, except for him. He acted as if she didn't even exist and that hurt.
"We are riding now. Get the horses," this is all Elizah said before heading towards his horse.
The day went uneventfully. Elizah, intentionally kept a good distance between them. Whereas her eyes were always on the search for him, he not for once turned to look at her. He was avoiding her. Sabrina tried her best to hold back her tears but sometimes they leaked out. She didn't want anyone to catch her weeping so she wiped them off instantly.
They decided to halt for the night when the sun went down.
Elizah, after fixing the camp, remained in his tent. He even ate his food in his camp. Sabrina knew why? He was still avoiding her. After dinner, she went inside her tent, threw herself into her makeshift bed, and finally let tears pour out of her eyes. She wailed for hours. Her heart was aching excruciatingly. It felt as if someone had twisted it painfully.
Once she got drained of tears, she decided to go out and take a fresh breath.
Grabbing her stall, she came out of her camp and stood in front of her entrance. The wind was chilly but made her feel at ease.
She took a deep breath and exhaled quickly when she heard a moan. Her ears perked up and her gaze drew in the direction from where the sound had come.
Another breathless moan echoed in the air and finally, her gaze detected the camp from where it was sourcing. It was his tent.
Her heart gave a painful jolt at the realization.
Another moan mixed with a deep grunt rung in the air, causing a piercing pain to spear through her chest. His grunt.
She put her hand on his mouth as tears washed down her eyes. He was with someone.
Not being able to hear it anymore, she rushed back into her tent. She got on her bed and buried her face into her bedspread.
She cried till the morning, the sound of their grunts and moans kept haunting her throughout the night.
The book has entered the contest. I would really appreciate all the support I could get.
Elizah paced restlessly outside the chamber as her screams rattled through the silence. He was tempted to burst in through the door and cradle her against his chest but he was helpless. She was in there delivering their child. Just then a tiny frame brushed past him and towards the door. It was Kaiser. Their first-born. A toy sword in his hand as he rushed towards the door. "Leave my mama alone or I swear I will kill you all," Kaiser hollered against the door. Elizah rushed over to him and lifted him in his arms. The boy thrashed to get free."Do not hurt my mom," Kaiser shouted, still throwing glares at the closed door."Silence, boy," he turned Kaiser's face towards him. The boy frowned and then scowled at his father."Papa, mama is in danger. Why are you not doing anything?" the four-year-old demanded, this time subjecting his father to his glare. His dragon blood had already started to influence him. The boy had his eyes and his mother's blond hair."No, love. Your mother is alr
They both blinked at each other. Elizah was dumbstruck. She broke eye contact to look around her chamber. It is then Elizah got his senses back. He leaped off his chair and dashed out the door to tell the guard to bring in the healer. He also told the maids who were waiting outside to attend to their queen. He stayed outside, letting the maids enter the chamber. A smile broke through his lips. She was awake. He placed his hand on his chest and rubbed it. His heart was galloping like a horse. He was elated but at the same time nervous too. He wanted to see her but his self-doubts were holding him back. What if she still hated him? "How do you feel now, My queen?" he heard a maid ask her. Elizah leaned his back against the wall and waited for her to speak in eager anticipation. He was dying to hear her sweet voice. The one that was devoid of any bitterness. "Just a little headache," she croaked out. Elizah swooned inwardly. She had a voice of an angel. A smile broke onto his lips, no
Elizah remained by her side the whole night, continuously checking up on her fever. She was hot like a scorching iron, running a high fever. The old woman had already warned him against it. She was fighting a life battle right now, the toxicity in her body was resisting the healing potion. Elizah wrung the piece of cloth before putting it on her forehead. Thankfully, she wasn't shivering anymore. "Things are going to get better from here on out. We are going to get better," Elizah told her. He could feel it in his bones. Tomorrow was going to be full of happiness and prosperity. That maid Lina was caught shortly after Georgia's demise. Harriet had asked him to let her deal with the witch. Elizah had agreed. Now that he had his Sabrina with him, he didn't care about anyone any longer. He put his hand on her protruded belly and smiled when he felt their baby's movement. "He is happy too," he raised his gaze to her and chirped, elated. A knock was heard before the door drew open. He d
The volcanic explosion shook the ground, causing Georgia to lose her balance and fall. Elizah who had not expected it was completely blindsided by the sudden attack. Harriet, on the other hand, smiled knowingly. Another heart-stopping noise boomed before the roof was crashed through by a massive creature. Elizah glanced up to find Herone flying overhead in all his glory. He was utterly shocked. The vamp's jaw slacked in pure horror. Harriet rushed and pulled Elizah backward until there was a good distance between them and the fallen witch. Herone roared and a river of fire flowed out of his mouth. In a blink of an eye, the entire hall was caught up in fire. The witch was lost behind the ruthless blazes. Elizah's mind drifted to Sabrina. Fear seized him at once. Is she alright? "Sabrina," his voice trembled as the realization dawned on him. Without wasting a moment, he swiveled to run outside in search of her. Harriet couldn't stop him as he was too fast and sudden. She ran after h
His insides wrenched with pining melancholy when he saw her bound in chains to a cage. What hurt him more was the loathe shining in her eyes for him. "You didn't die?" she rattled violently against the iron bars, gravely disappointed. A pang stabbed through his heart. She wanted him dead. "You obviously failed to do your job, Sabrina. I am so disappointed in you," Georgia replied with a disappointed sigh. Sabrina paled. She dropped down to her knees and joined her hands in a pleading manner. Her importing eyes fixed on Geirgia. "I apologize for my mistake, Queen. Give me one more chance I will finish him for certain this time," Sabrina entreated earnestly. Georgia smirked. Elizah's features crumpled in agony. The woman he loved the most couldn't wait to kill him. "I want you to kill but not him any longer," Georgia started in a riddle. Elizah sent him a hateful glare. He hated this woman to the core. Georgia's smirk widened. Her scheming eyes lit up with something devious. El
Elizah felt like a loser. The only thing he wanted was to keep his family safe, and he failed to do just that. He loathed himself for this. This all happened because of his negligence. She wouldn't have been in danger if he had nipped the problem in the bud. Why? Why did he not take notice of it before it was too late? "Don't beat yourself up for this. Georgia's plan was a failsafe," Harriet tried to pacify him. Elizah knew it wasn't true. The disaster could be averted if he had fucking noticed. "She was struggling for so long and I couldn't see it. She must have felt so miserable, so trapped," a tear escaped his eye. The more he thought about it, the more his heart broke. He couldn't protect her when she needed him the most. Harriet was taken aback by the tears in his eyes. She had never seen tears in his eyes. He wasn't emotionally weak nor let problems weigh down on him. "Remorse won't do you any good. It's time to rescue her. Focus on that," Harriet told him. Elizah nodded his
He tried to roll away but it was too late. The dagger drove through his chest like a bolt of fire but he didn't feel pain for a good second. The shock had numbed his senses. Her fiery blue eyes expressed nothing but deep-seated loath as she twisted the knife so that it hurts more before ripping it out in one brutal go. He grunted in pain. Her response was a devious sneer. "You deserve a death far worse than this," she seethed and struck at him again. This time, though, Elizah edged out by turning on his side in time. The sharp blade plunged into the mattress. Before Sabrina could whip it out, Elizah grabbed her hand which was holding the knife, and prevented her from plucking it out. "Leave me, you scoundrel," she hissed in her venom-laced voice. Elizah didn't allow the hatred in her voice to weaken his resolve. He fixed Sabrina with his deadliest glare and commanded her to release the knife while pressing his other hand against his wound. The pain was excruciating but right now he
In her sweet embrace, he was losing his control. He couldn't keep himself vigilant as she showered him with her kisses. Kisses that he had craved like crazy for all these months. His breathing labored and his eyes fell shut as she kissed every inch of his face. As her dry cracked lips caressed his skin, he couldn't help but feel grateful to the Goddess for creating this moment. He was dying for this moment. He thought he had lost her but she was coming back. His Sabrina was finally returning. He glanced down between them and smiled at the sight of her swollen belly. He put his hand under her belly and stroked it, earning a moan from her. Her melodic voice caused him to look up at her. Her face had lost its chubbiness that he adored with his heart. Her cheekbones were sticking out and her eyes were sunken. And yet, he was mesmerized by her. "I love you," he cradled her face and confessed from the bottom of his heart. Sabrina smiled and urged him to make love to her. He was more than
Days passed but that old hag could also not persuade that dragon monster into setting her free. She was still shackled to her bed, bound and helpless. She couldn't afford to be like this any longer. The voices in her head had turned violent and louder telling her to kill him. She feared she would burst from inside if she didn't do something soon enough. That evening Sabrina used her honey-coated voice to ask her maids to bathe her in scented perfumes and make her look her best. Her request and soft manner of speaking surprised the maids. The woman had long stopped caring about her looks. Her hair was a mess, her lips were cracked and her eyes had dark circles like the shade of night underneath them. They took her to the bathroom and happily washed off all the grime sticking to her milky-white skin. It was after several days, she was taking a bath. As mentioned, she has lost interest in all worldly pleasures. The maids were on cloud nine, assuming Harriet's potion was finally having
