The morning sun streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows of my corner office should have felt warm, but the heavy glass skyscraper remained chilled by central air and corporate tension. I sat behind my desk, nursing a double shot of black espresso. Beneath the crisp collar of my silk blouse, my skin still throbbed with a faint, phantom heat—a silent reminder of Damon’s mouth and hands in the dark, blacked-out cabin of his Maybach just hours ago.

I had spent twenty minutes in front of my bathroom mirror at dawn trying to cover the dark bruise near my collarbone with concealer. I hadn't covered it completely. A part of me—a dark, reckless part I barely recognized—wanted it there. It was armor against the quiet lies of the Vance family.

My phone buzzed on the blotter. It was an email from Ethan’s secretary confirming he was "out of office for off-site client meetings" for the morning. I didn't need a calendar update to know where he actually was. He was nursing his bruised ego after I turned him away, likely seeking comfort in whatever convenient bed he could find.

Before I could file the email away, the frosted glass door to my office swung open without a knock.

Victoria stepped into the room, sweeping in with the effortless, sharp confidence of someone who believed every floor of the Vance building belonged to her. She wore a tailored ivory skirt suit that clung to every curve, her golden hair styled into loose, polished waves. She carried two oversized iced coffees from the high-end cafe down the street, a bright, performative smile fixed on her face.

"Robin! Good morning, darling," Victoria chirped, closing the door behind her with a soft click. "I know we usually keep things strictly professional around the office, but with the wedding only weeks away, I thought it was high time we had a little sisterly bonding over caffeine."

I didn't move. I set my espresso cup down with a slow, measured click against the saucer, leaning back in my leather chair.

"Victoria," I said, keeping my voice smooth, even, and thoroughly unbothered. "What a surprise. I didn't know you were in the building so early."

"Oh, you know me—always working," she lied sweetly, gliding across the Persian rug and placing one of the plastic cups on the edge of my desk. She didn't wait for an invitation before settling into one of the velvet guest chairs across from me, crossing her long legs with practiced grace. "Though, to be completely honest, I didn't get much sleep last night either."

She tilted her head, her sharp hazel eyes scanning my face for any crack in my composure. She was looking for dark circles, for red eyes, for the telltale signs of a woman whose fiancé hadn't come home.

"Is that so?" I asked politely, resting my elbows on the desk and lacing my fingers together. "The quarterly reports keeping you up?"

"Something like that," Victoria murmured, taking a slow sip through her straw. Her eyes glittered with a calculated, cat-like malice. "Actually, Ethan and I were up late going over some... urgent strategy details. You know how he gets when his father puts pressure on him. He gets so restless. He needs someone who truly understands the weight of the company to help him wind down."

She paused, letting the implication hang in the air like heavy perfume. It was a classic Victoria maneuver—dropping subtle, poisonous breadcrumbs designed to make me second-guess Ethan’s loyalty, to force me into asking questions, to make me show a single sliver of weak, pathetic jealousy.

In the past, her subtle digs would have landed like a physical punch. My stomach would have knotted, my heart would have hammered, and I would have spent the rest of the day dissecting every word, wondering if Ethan was betraying me again.

Today, as I sat across from her, all I felt was a cold, distant amusement.

Ethan’s whereabouts didn't matter to me anymore. His touch repulsed me. His validation meant less than nothing. While Victoria was proudly holding onto the scraps of Ethan’s pathetic, desperate attention from the night before, I had been pinned against the leather interior of Damon Vance’s private car, surrendered completely to the real power in this family.

I looked at Victoria, allowing a slow, serene smile to spread across my lips.

"Ethan has always been terrible at handling pressure," I said smoothly, my tone light, almost maternal in its dismissal. "It’s very generous of you to act as his sounding board when he gets overwhelmed, Victoria. Really. It takes a lot off my plate."

Victoria froze. The sweet, victorious curve of her lips faltered for a fraction of a second, her fingers tightening slightly around her plastic cup.

She hadn't expected that. She had expected tears, or a tight jaw, or at the very least a frosty defensive remark. She hadn't expected me to hand Ethan over to her like a piece of unwanted, used furniture.

  • His Uncle Ruined Me For Good   The Raw Edge

Damon let out a dark, breathless laugh, his eyes burning with pure, unadulterated lust as he carried me two steps over to the wide leather sofa. He threw me down onto the cushions, my dress bunched up around my ribcage, my breasts completely bare, and my legs falling wide open in pure, uninhibited invitation. He didn't take off his trousers. He just unbuckled his belt with a quick, loud metallic clink, unzipped his fly, and freed his thick, pulsing length. He was rock hard, thick, and pre-cum was already glistening at the tip.Seeing him like that—raw, massive, and completely ready to take me—sent a fresh wave of liquid heat straight to my thighs. I reached down, grabbing the thin scrap of my silk underwear, and ripped it sideways, exposing my wet, swollen center completely to his view."Fuck, Robin," Damon rasped, his voice rough and stripped of all composure as his dark eyes locked onto my dripping core. "You're fucking soaked.""Then don't make me wait," I demanded, my hips arching

  • His Uncle Ruined Me For Good   The Threshold of Shadow

The rain was slamming hard against the panoramic glass of the penthouse elevator as it shot up to the top floor of Vance Tower. My skin felt hot, my throat dry, and my pulse was hammering with a fast, heavy rhythm that had nothing to do with anxiety and everything to do with pure, desperate physical need.Ethan had texted earlier with some boring complaint about his father tearing apart his quarterly projections, but I hadn't even bothered reading it. My body wasn't thinking about Ethan. My body was thumping with a deep, aching itch that had been building at the base of my spine since the moment I woke up. I wanted dirty, ruthless, uninhibited sex, and there was only one man who knew how to give it to me.The elevator doors opened directly into Damon’s penthouse with a soft, electronic chime. He didn't have his suit jacket on. He was standing near the edge of the dark hardwood floor wearing just his tailored trousers, his crisp white dress shirt completely unbuttoned down the front, e

Victoria adjusted her posture, her hazel eyes narrowing as she tried to recalculate her attack. She leaned forward slightly, resting her forearms on the edge of my mahogany desk, trying to force an intimacy that wasn't there."Well, it's not just business, Robin," Victoria dropped her voice to a conspiratorial whisper, her tone dripping with fake concern. "He was so stressed when he came over around midnight. He mentioned he stopped by your place first, but that you... turned him away? He seemed so disappointed, poor thing. A man like Ethan—a Vance—isn't used to being locked out in the cold. He came straight to my apartment looking for a littl

  • His Uncle Ruined Me For Good   The Dark Glass

The dark cabin of the Maybach felt suffocatingly small, thick with the scent of leather, scotch, and the heavy, electric musk of our bodies. I was completely undone in his lap, my black coat falling off my shoulders, my underwear discarded somewhere on the floorboards, and my bare skin pressing flush against the rough weave of his trousers.Damon looked down at me, his face a harsh sculpture of dark focus in the dim amber light of the car's footwells. He grabbed my chin between his thumb and forefinger, tilting my head back until my dark eyes met his."You left your bed at midnight to come down to a dark garage for me," Damon rasped, his voice a low, gravelly vibration that rattled through my chest. "Say why you're here, Robin.""Because I needed this," I breathed, my hands sliding up his chest to grip the open collar of his shirt, my fingers tangling in the dark hair there. "Because I can't let him touch me anymore. Only you."A dark, savage smirk cut across his features. "That's my

The clock on my nightstand ticked silently over to 11:58 PM. My body was still humming from the scalding hot shower I’d taken to wash away the ghost of Ethan’s touch, but the skin beneath my collarbone—where Damon had left his mark in the cellar—seemed to burn with a phantom heat.he lingering repulsion of his presence still made my skin crawl.I was sitting on the edge of my bed, nursing a glass of ice water and staring blankly at the city lights outside my window, when the quiet vibration of my phone startled the silence.I picked it up. A single text from an unsaved, private number flashed across the dark screen.B1 Level. Executive Garage. Vance Tower. 12:15 AM.No greeting. No asking if I was awake. Just a blunt command written in the dark, confident authority that belonged to only one man.I held the phone, staring at the glowing numbers until the screen dimmed. I shouldn't go. I should block the number, throw my silk robe back on, and go to sleep like a sane woman who cared abou
