“So you see my dear, that is how the werewolves cam to be. Silas was the first wolf created by Lydia. She was very powerful and perhaps knowing that she thought she was invincible”

I was left in awe as Mrs Danbury finished her story. The werewolf gene was originally supposed to be a cure. Things hadn't gone as Lydia had planned, but was it really a curse?

“How do you know so much?” I asked her as she got up to clear the table.

“That my dear, is a question for another day. How I know is not important. It iis what I know you should be more concerned with”

“There's more?”

“Of course there is. The spell Lydia used to create the wolf gene was very complex. There are lots of ties and knots that can only be undone at the right time. Many of them are best left untouched for now”

“You're trying to tell me something else… what is it?”

“By now, you should know there is something more going on, and you my dear are the center of it all. I'm sure you've felt it
