A caring mate

Stephanie's point of view:

... Fire was burning every and each part of our packhouse, and all that came across us. Meanwhile, Earl was dragging me out of the packhouse.

I kept on asking him about what’s wrong, but he never answered me. I kept on following him toward the door, and before we made it. A scream escaped out of Earl, he then crossed both of his hands on his heart…

I didn’t know what to do but to hold him between my hands while crying. His heart was beating on nonstop, as if it was some sort of music drum. Suddenly, all his heartbeats stopped – and he was alive no more.

I started feeling pain through my veins. It was if I was the one who lost my life, not Earl. Not too long after Earl, my heart started hurting me like - Just like Earl, I was dying too.

Before I closed my eyes, a huge dark wolf was coming out of fire … The same wolf shifted to become the shadows' pack Alpha...
