Chapter 3

It seems like last time, it was just Friday. Time goes by so quickly. Still, I'd like a long weekend. Jarvis was with me, looking at what he was going to get while I scowled and pushed a cart. Even the fact that he was going grocery shopping today wasn't disclosed to me. He convinced me that we would only go to the bakery and buy some bread.

And here I am now, pushing a cart. He was probably mentally laughing at me. My sleep was literally disturbed by him earlier. Why didn't just bother Frances instead? Sometimes his trips are unpredictable.

"What kind of milk brand do you prefer?" Jarvis asked abruptly. I just pointed to the one he has in his right hand. He groaned.

He remarked, "I don't like that. It tastes horrible." I rolled my eyes on him. He will ask me and then he won't like it. He occasionally leaves me baffled.

He is very picky as well. We therefore adhere to his wishes. We appear to be under his control. I simply follow him to the next shelf.. We then came to a stop at the chip aisle.

"Choose whatever you want there. You look ugly when you're pouting," I gasped in disbelief. I don't really like sometimes the words that keep on coming out of his mouth. It's really not possible that he doesn't have a rebuttal either to me or anyone else.

"The audacity to call me unattractive. Don't you want me to call you ugly?" I said proudly.

He just glared at me. "Shut up." I laughed softly. He really doesn't want to lose. He is always competitive, despite his small height.

I just took the chips I wanted and immediately pushed the cart. I was also looking at other products so I didn't notice that Jarvis had also disappeared by my side. Why does he always leave me alone?

He was speaking to a guy when I turned over to the chocolate aisle. Wow, is he dating anyone? However, how is it possible for him to date someone when he doesn't want to in the first place? I just stood back and watched them from a distance.

He was conversing with a tall man. His hair was slightly lengthy and dark brown in color. He was dressed in sweatpants and a simple black shirt. I wonder what they are currently discussing. He has a wide smile on his face. I went up to them because I was bored and wanted to go home.

I cried out, "Jarvis," to him. They both simultaneously turned to face me. Wow, now we have two Jarvis. No one told me about that.

He asked, "Who is he?" And I heard him.

"Is he your boyfriend?" He added. The tone of his voice also made it clear that he was hesitant to ask that question. But who is he in Jarvis' life? His suitor?

I mean, he's good-looking but it looks like he'll just easily fool you in the end. His attractiveness can't be denied, so I won't be surprised if men and women pursue him. He has a broad shoulder and good body physique and even though he is dressed simply, he is already attractive.

But, I'm more handsome compared to him. Why should I lower the genes of the Valerianos?

I heard Jarvis' soft giggles. How flirtatious. I simply rolled my eyes at the two without them noticing. "No! He's my cousin." He nodded and extended his hand.

"Hi, I'm Jeff. And you are?" I accepted his hand and shook hands with him.

"Nikolaus," I said briefly. He and Jarvis talked for a while. I didn't expect him to like red flag men.

Later, he also said goodbye that he was leaving because he still had some errands to take care of. I elbowed Jarvis weakly. It was only then that I noticed that his cheeks were flushed when I looked at him. I winced at his appearance. It sucks to be in love.

"Do you have a crush on him?" I asked curiously. He simply smiled broadly and walked forward. Niro, it's been a pleasure speaking with you.

He was also skipping over to the counter. He hadn't even considered putting the chocolates he had taken earlier inside the pushing cart. I just brushed my hair through my fingers as I ran into him.

I was still teasing Jarvis while scanning our purchases. "So you have a crush on him?" I asked. He closed his eyes tightly and stared at me. "So what? It's just a crush. I can multitask."

Okay. I'll tell Aunt Isabel about this. His son has already begun to flirt. He is no longer Jarvis, whose life motto is "study first." I'm telling you, Jeff, if I find out you're playing with my cousin's feelings, I'll definitely meet you in front of your house.

"Are you sure it's just a crush?" I'm still asking him. He was about to hit me with a cereal box. I recall someone who enjoys cereal, particularly baby cereal. I secretly smiled.

"Don't ask me about that. Don't you have a love life? Oh, by the way, you left that person, which is why your life is so sad," he mumbled. When I turned around, I noticed the woman laughing at what Jarvis said.

"Stop it, Jarvs!" I yelled softly, but all he did was stick out his tongue.

"Why should I be embarrassed? I wasn't the one who left him. It was you." I pinched his side. Please remind me later to tape his mouth because it is so loud.

"I hope Jeff doesn't like you," I joked.

"Hey, foul!"

We weren't done bickering with each other until we got home to the condo unit. He had already pinned me to the side because he was so annoyed with me. We even met Frances with cinnamon rolls in his hand. Where did he get it?

I greeted him and asked, "Did you go to the neighbor's house, you scumbag?" He grinned as he approached us and extended the cinnamon pastries he had brought.

"I met Sir Petrucio in the elevator. I don't want to refuse, guys. Hello? That's food," he said. As soon as we entered, he only spoke. The cinnamon buns he brought are likewise devoured.

We heard an unpleasant sound just as we were ready to enter the living room. Together, we peaked and caught Savannah and her boyfriend making out.

Why the living room with all the options available? When we saw what they did, we were really astounded and speechless. Frances eventually pretended to cough so that they would look up and see us.

Savannah's face was flushed, and I noticed it when she quickly hurled her heels at us. We hurriedly left to the condo and grabbed our slippers as she yelled, "Get out!"

But before I closed the door, I shouted, "Get a room, please! You two are nasty! And we're sorry!"

Just as I closed the door, she screamed in frustration. We didn't do it on purpose. And it's also their fault too. I just facepalmed and looked at the two. They were both still stunned and slowly processing what they really saw. Finally, it wasn't just my eyes that were traumatized. It's true that we really need to find a new place to live. Because maybe that's not all we'll see next time.
