OLIVIA’S POV

“Is the room to your liking?’’

“It’s fine.’’ I threw the suitcase on the floor and my phone on the bed.

“I’ve had another bed made. Once it’s ready, it’ll be moved into our room once the investigation is cleared and the crime scene taken care of.’’

“Do you not see what’s wrong with that?’’ I snapped. “Someone just got killed, Galen. My best friend was murdered and you’re already talking about replacing the bed and moving back into that room…? What is the matter with you?’’

He remained silent. He looked at me and I felt sorry for him. He didn't deserve that. and I couldn't stop myself.

“I'm sorry.”

“It's ok.” He let out. “I know what you're going through.”

“No, you don't. It feels like someone ripped my heart out.” I cried out, feeling defeated. He stood there like a statue, not knowing what to do or how to go about it. I felt drained and mentally exhausted.

“If you need anything, I'm right here.’’ Galen said, smiling warmly.
