Forty Two.

Lana’s POV

As the room came into view, I could see hundreds of people standing around the edge. All looking on at something.

The man in the middle is blocking my view but he is talking to someone. I couldn’t make out anything they were saying, just low mutterings, nothing that seemed to form any words or make any sense.

My hands and my legs were both tied to the chair when the tall dark haired man suddenly turns and looks at me. His piercing red eyes twinkled as he hurried towards me. I couldn’t go anywhere, I couldn’t move. Why was I always in these situations?

He mutters something to me, his words still not making any sense. Almost like he was talking another language. He looks over my shoulder and someone else joins him. A man, I think or at least a maculine woman. They touch my head and instantly I feel my body relax as sleep takes me.

Opening my eyes, I find myself on a four poster bed. Crisp white sheets beneath me and a white fleece blanket covered me, but that was all that was
