Thirty Five.

Lana’s POV

“It doesn’t make any sense. Logan said the witches were after you. Why would they take him and not you?”

I shrug my shoulders at Sam. How was I supposed to have all the answers?

“Let’s just see what we can find.”

As we walk through the lobby to the reception, Sam let out a groan. It took me a moment to realise that he was staring at the human receptionist. She was smiling in our direction, correction, she was smiling at Sam.

“Hey cutie.” she murmurs at him, still not registering me.

“Hi Daisy. Logan just sent me to pick up a few things, is it alright if we go through?”

She flutters her eyelashes at him, “You want me to come with you?”

“Uh, no. I was talking about me and my sister.”

Daisy’s face drops as soon as she sees me. I half wondered if she remembered me. I didn’t care either way.

“Mr Lonecrown hasn’t been in for a couple of days,” she shifts her focus back to Sam.

“He wasn’t here yesterday?”
