Chapter sixteen

Isabelle lies across Dane's chest, stroking the hairs on his chest. Sometimes, she would give it a little tug which made Dane frown his face in displeasure. But that displeasure soon turned into a smile.

He gazed at his beautiful mate. She had come willingly to him and given herself to him. He never thought she'd do considering how proud she was.

He knew the request she asked of him would be no simple one because she would have sent a note or a maid but she chose to come herself which shows the gravity of the situation.

Who dares hurt or threatens his mate will lose an eye or a limb he swore in his heart.

She looked up at him as he accessed her features closely. She was a beautiful woman who knew how to get what she wanted. And this time she needed his help. He'd go miles to help her.

His worry right now was she hadn't said anything about accepting him or not. He did not want to push it. But it was killing him inside to know if she would.
