Chapter 23

"Thank you my dear" my mom said, smiling softly to Abigail as she gracefully served us our plates of breakfast on the table.

Something about Abigail seemed strangely astonishing. She added more weight over the past few months and was now looking plump and more beautiful. Well, what was I to expect? Someone who spends most of her time preparing meals in the kitchen was bound to add weight over time.

Across the dining table in front of me, sat my dad. He was already munching on his toast bread and sipping on his creamed tea. And from what I was seeing, He was really savouring every taste of his bread
