Chapter 24

"Ma... He's..." Abigail started with a stammer and hesitated, sniffing to control her continued sobbing. Then she wiped off the tears on her left cheek with the back of her right hand before stretching it forward to point.

"He's responsible for the baby Ma..." She said nervously, her voice low and shaky as she pointed at my direction.

My eyes went horribly wide in panick.

My heart racing fast, I turned my head and leveled my frightened gaze at my dad. He was utterly dumbfounded by this revelation.

From the look on his face, I knew he was finding it hard to believe. Numerous questioning thoughts must have been running through his head, I know, thoughts like 'How could I have slept with the nanny under his surveillance?'

The narrowing of his eyebrow showed that he wasn't too convinced at what Abigail had just said. But there was nothing he could do or say to counter her -- except he wanted to take the blame, which will surely lead to a divorce with my mom. Am sure he wasn't quite re
