Lucas' eyes seemed to clear when he heard this.

"It seems even Charlotte is not below petty tricks. I thought she was not the kind to pull these pranks. Let's continue the ceremony," Lucas said.

After this, they continued till they finished the last ritual then kissed her hand.

"Lucas, will you spend the rest of your life with me?” Shane excitedly asked.

Lucas paused. He wanted to say no. Charlotte was his forever, the one he wanted to spend a life time with, but under the eyes of the crowd he opened his mouth and answered. "Yes,"

There were applauses all over, but Lucas felt empty inside. His eyes scanned the room looking for Charlotte. He did not believe she would actually disappear. He felt she would pop out and smirk saying her letter and leaving was a joke.

But there was no Charlotte in the crowd. He started to panic, wondering where she had actually gone.

As the ceremony moved to the after-party, his eyes searched for her, till he could no longer hold it in.
