Chapter 42 A Cameo

Silence rules when she was too stunned to speak while he watches her surprise with a smile.

"I'm not that drunk not to know who I'm making love to, Arah. I know everything that happened that night, even the time you quietly went out of the room" he calmly discloses while she paled in horror.

They are at arm's length, enough to look at each other. But his hands stay on her waist, keeping her close.

"I only knew you from Tim's stories. I saw your pictures and I've been looking forward to meeting you. You're one of the reasons why I went back home earlier than planned"

Surprised by the revelation, she raised a brow, to which he affirmed with a nod.

"But those pictures did not give justice to how gorgeous you are in person. You're perfection. And the entire night I've been eyeing you. But a girl approaches me and she becomes a cover-up. She kept me company and her presence detracts suspicions" he smiles.

"Unfortunately, I hadn't had the chance to talk to you after we were introduced.
